This game is so under-rated. Everybody whined about the camera angles and very unimportant glitches, but those were in SA2:B and SADX as well. What they were really whining about was the graphics, which were fairly low. Oh yeah, and the gameplay was somewhat confusing at first.

This game is alright. Not as good as SA DX and SA Battle 2 though. I think tails was annoying. The game is horrible on PS2. So if you played it on that okay. On the Gamecube, it's way different.

I really hate the music in this game. Sonic Adventure DX & Sonic Adventure 2 Battle had WAY better music AND better gameplay too.

This game is pretty good. Some things in the stories were lame and some of the acting, but the gameplay was good. One of my favorites in fact!

I was never really a fan of this game. It went into my money-waster piles.

I thought it was tight when I first played it.

This was the very last Sonic game where they had the original voice over people. Once "Shadow the Hedgehog" came, they used the "Sonic X" voice people, which really pissed me off!

Captain Jamesman said:

Don't you even like Sonic X, B Darius?

Yeah darius, I hate that Griffin voice guy. "Yeah! Go!". What's worse is Cream's voice. Sheesh. "Yay, Blaze!". The camera angles were a little irritating, the music was despicable, the gameplay got a tiny bit erratic and the objectives were too vague. Other than those problems, it was a pretty good game.

The Sonic X voices as I said are much better than the regular voices.

B Darius said:

Hey, who was the "Griffin guy Voice"?

Avatar

B Darius said:

Oh, and Jamesman. To answer your question, Sonic X was alright, but "Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog" was better.

Captain Jamesman said:

Meh. I'd say both are equal. Are you going to get that Sonic the Hedgehog Complete Series DVD Box Set. It's not AoStH, but it's the other one with the, oh god, "Princess Sally"!

I have the game, it's good but some levels can be freakin annoying. I have the Sonic Mega Collection too, that has all of the "old yet awesome" games.

Hey B Darius! You forgot Sonic Underground.

Avatar

Captain Jamesman said:

Oh yeah, I almost forgot about Sonic Underground. It's okay. Not too amusing.

I finished this yesterday. It's actually pretty cool in parts, but also has a few bad annoyances. Not as great as SA2, but good on them for trying something a little different with the whole 'team' thing.

His name is Jason Griffin. And he's actually really good.

B Darius said:

Yeah. You keep thinking that, Phantom.

I wasn't running my mouth there Darius. Do you even like changes? Because for some reason you want EVERYTHING original. People need to learn changes. Even if it's changing the voices. Tails voices definitely improved (he sounded like a two year old in Sonic Heroes).

It got old quick. In my opinion, the worst sonic game so far. Compare this one with SA2B.

Since people are talking about Griffin, I'll say my opinion. He S-U-C-K-S. When I got Sonic Riders I found that out. I love Sonic Heroes. It was the last apperance of the Old voice actors. William Corkey voiced Tails in this game and Sonic Battle. Poor Ryan Drummond. He was awesome. He brought a great voice for Sonic. Scott Drierer made and awesome Knuckles. Oh, the game is great too.

B Darius said:

I disagree WiiNinja! This is one of the best Sonic games so far. Sure, you can't play as separate characters, but it's still a great game. That's the whole point.

WiiNinja said:

There's no mobility whatsoever in groups of three. The different formations were catchy, but the gameplay was awful. What's even funnier is when the speed character outruns the other groupies, and suddenly they come from out of nowhere and join you again. The point is, different characters have different abilities, but why does one character have to drag around the other two? So, for instance, sonic would be pretty weak without knuckles or tails. But, we all know, he isn't. I'm sure they can manage on their own. It should be three player co-op than one player with three teammates. That way, each person does their own abilities on their own, and more people can get into the game.

Sonic Phantom said:

Uh WiiNinja, that would be exactly like Sonic Adventure if you think about it. Sonic Heroes was and is a true classic. I don't think it should have sequel. Heroes should remain a one time thing. This game is only horrible if you have the PS2 version. I heard it has inferior graphics, less responsive controls, and more glitches than the other two versions. Don't get any version, but the Gamecube. It's a classic.

WiiNinja said:

Yea, well, it could still be be better if they had separate character multiplayer. Sega needs to expound on the gameplay. Let's face it. You need 3-player co-op. Yes, Sonic Phantom, this was a one time shot for heroes. And, the PS2 version SUCKS. Don't get me wrong, it was still an exceptional game that was only meant for gamecube. Hmm, what else will Sega come up with?

Sonic Phantom said:

Who knows? Maybe Silver could have his own game out. But not like Shadow. Don't get me wrong, I loved Shadow the Hedgehog, but Silver with a gun? No thanks. I think he should join with Neo and become one of those guys from the Martix. It'd be cool with Silver wearing shades and and a trechcoat. I doubt it would work, but you never know. Sega suprises me all the time.

B Darius said:

Yo Phantom. If Sega wants to make sequels, then let them. Every Sonic game doesn't have to be a one time thing.

Avatar

Sonic Phantom said:

Well Darius, I don't mind sequels at all. I loved the sequel for Riders. But after the ending on SH, there would be no reason to make a sequel to this. I like this game, but only for Heroes, it will be a one time thing.

Avatar

B Darius said:

What are you talking about? The ending was perfect for a sequel. Metal Sonic was back to normal, and Sonic said, "Anytime you want a rematch, just let me know. I'll be waiting". And also Rouge was going to go after the Master Emerald, and Team Chaotix was going to get Eggman for not giving them their money. Last but not least, Omega was holding Metal Sonic right next to Shadow, he might come back. This game SHOULD have a sequel.

Avatar

Sonic Phantom said:

Darius, think of it this way: Rouge probably lied about going after the Master Emerald. Eggman probably never had money for Chaotix. And finally, Omega probably put Metal Sonic in a containment. And Shadow left to discover who he was, and that led to have his own game, which I liked by the way. And Metal Sonic's going to be in Sonic Rivals 2. There will be not a chance for a sequel of Sonic Heroes. I have nothing against it, except for some annoying voices (Amy, Tails, Knuckles, Cream), but Sonic Heroes will not have a sequel. So think before you act.

I'm going to be honest about this, I am a Sonic fan, but when I play the newest games, I always change the voice actors to Japanese. Why? First of all, the 4Kids voices are the worst things I've ever heard. For an opinion about this game, although the camera sucks and the levels are frustrating, you got to give it a chance. It was actually different for a change, I mean, not all of it was based on speed! Oh, and the multiplayer mode is fun because you can kick each other. The music is cool for some levels, but after 50 times of playing the same level, it gets annoying. So, that's my full opinion on this game (I haven't beaten it yet).

Great game and a sequel would be nice, but with Sega Superstar Tennis coming out I'm starting to think Sega's next game will be Super Sonic Strikers (Super Mario Strikers).

The music was bad but gameplay was pretty good but the sonic characters were a little bit too short for me.
