Super Smash Bros.: Melee User Review
The greatest game for the gamecube.
I got a Nintendo Gamecube for Christmas back in 2001 when I was 8 years old. To the left of it I saw Luigi's Mansion. To the right I saw Super Smash Bros Melee. Because I was just 8 years old, I never really got on the internet or looked at magazines or anything else about gaming news. I just played what I had. So I had never even heard of Super Smash Bros Melee. The original Super Smash Bros had been my favorite game ever. So as soon as I read the box, I was like the Nintendo 64 Kid (for those of you who don't know who he is, look it up on google).
I remember the first thing I did was play adventure mode as Mario. I never knew video games could have such good graphics. I was so used to the N64's blocky and less detailed graphics, that the gamecube graphics made Mario look mutant to me! I was very surprised at how many characters and levels there were. I would play it almost every day. Now, 5 years later, I still play it almost every day. In my opinion, that game had the best graphics, gameplay, multiplayer mode, replay value and everything else good about video games (sorry microsoft fanboys, no sex in this game).
All around I say this is the best gamecube game ever. Also I think this is the second best game of any system. First of course being Zelda: Ocarina of Time. So if you don't have this game, GET IT!
