The official site for Cave Story on WiiWare has been opened, and can be seen here.
Since being released as Freeware on the PC, Cave Story has built up a large following. What's remarkable about it is that the entire game was created by one person, Daisuke Amaya (also known as Pixel). Cave Story is to be ported over by a small team of indie developers known as Nicalis.
The PC version of the game will continue to be available for free, but WiiWare buyers should apparently have some added extras thrown in.

I can't wait for this game to be released in Europe! It's seriously one of the best game I have played in my life. It's so perfect, the music, the graphics, the gameplay- everything! Based on what I've heard of the new music I will probably play it with the original music.
