New title inspired by Earthbound, Suikoden among others.
Though Citizens of Earth may not have succeeded at it's Kickstarter funding goal, the title has gained a new lease on life thanks to publisher Atlus. Developed by Eden Industries, Citizens of Earth aims to combine Retro charm with modern design alongside quirky humor. Why not read the game's press release?
You're the newly elected Vice President of the World, spending some time in your home town after winning a hard-fought election campaign. But suddenly, the whole world goes crazy-eight bonkers and you'll need all the help you can get to save it.
In Citizens of Earth, the new RPG from ATLUS and Eden Industries, help comes in the form of 40 recruitable citizens, each with unique abilities. Everyone can lend a hand -- from the way-too-jittery Barista and the ever-optimistic Weatherlady to the notoriously skeezy Car Salesman.
Even YOU can lend a hand! We're holding a contest to add a fan-created character to the town, so check out here for details and entry form.
Oh, and we even have a teaser trailer.
Citizens of Earth will be available sometime later this year for Wii U and 3DS among others. Stay tuned to Wii's World for more in the coming months.
