Codemasters have announced they will be bringing a game called Emergency Mayhem onto the Wii.
Originally being developed by Acclaim in 2004, the game never made it to the stores. Codemasters are now stepping in to rescue (ding ding ding) the project.
Emergency Mayhem takes an arcade racer type of approach, something similar to Crazy Taxi. More news as and when we get it. Move along. Nothing to see here.

Aww, Crazy Taxi? I was hoping it'd be more like the old Emergency game (Probably not related to this). It was a puzzle-like game where you had to figure out how to handle situations with limited troops. There were challenges like evacuating a building, rescuing people from a flaming house, finding an illegal drugs dealer, saving a cat stuck in a tree, rescuing someone from a motor cycle wreck without igniting the gas leak. Ah, sweet nostalgia.

This is different, but if it was dropped, it must have been for a good reason.

Okay, so what's with the old guy on the windshield? Is this like one of those "destroy everything while in a car" games?

Koen van Beeck, what system was that game for because it sounds freaking awesome.

Seems interesting, I'd try it but I probably won't invest in buying the game.

It was on the PC, cmk. Good thing too. Some games are just meant to be played by mouse.
