George Harrison the Vice President of Marketing at Nintendo has revealed that Super Mario Galaxy has gotten off to a great start, being the fastest selling Wii game so far.
In its first week at retail in the US, Galaxy has sold over 500,000 copies.
"Super Mario Galaxy had the strongest one-week debut of any Wii title to date and has also become the best selling Mario game ever in its first week".

It's selling very well, but to see glitch fest generic trash like assasin's creed selling well completely defeats the idea of gaming being better, same old generic bug fest games with long load times and outdated gameplay being consumed by x360 and ps3 fanboys. I knew this would sell well, but this is better than I expected. I guess this is what happens when the Nintendo system is on top and the game is getting perfect or almost perfect reviews.

4 hours ago I was in the south center mall and figured out this e for all. One of the games were mario galaxy. I played it and beat the piranha dino and some dude was recording me playing.
