Obscure was a survival horror game set in a high school and released in 2004. Now, publishers Playlogic have announced a sequel. Obscure 2 is heading to the Wii later this year.
The storyline of Obscure 2 takes place two years after the original happenings, the kids who survived are now at college living normal lives. They discover a strange plant on campus and predictably, things start going awry.
Obscure 2 will have six playable characters to choose from, you can switch between them at different points in the game. You can also pick one AI controlled sidekick to aid you in your survival. A friend can also join in at any time thanks to the co-op feature.

Sounds pretty cool. What was the original for? GC?
Splintercell4ever said:
Well, it sure was announced on the same eerie date of the VT tragedy.

Cool, I guess. I never heard of Obscure though, so I'm not sure what to expect.

I'm not too into the horror based games (by the way, I just came home from a week in Japan).

Sounds like a game worth getting.

The original ObsCure was for the PlayStation 2. When I played it, I was kinda freaked out. It was a LOT different from Resident Evil and Silent Hill. There's a lot more blood and there's hardly any light inside the buildings. It's great that this hit Wii, I guess. But I think I'll leave this one alone.

Chaos, you scaredy chao. Anyway, thanks for telling us where to get the original. Before picking up the sequel, I'm going for the first one.

Looks OK. I'm probably not gonna check it out though.

That looks cool. That Virginia Tech thing was crazy. It was some Korean guy! I saw pictures and videos.
Nova said:
Gonzo, it is ironic that this would be announced at the same time as the Virginia tech incident.
Splintercell4ever said:
It was much more than crazy. It was devastating. I live close to the area, and things aren't the same as they were before.

I have the first one, it's a co-op game as well. It was a lot more fun 2-player. Pretty hard game though.

The first obscure wasn't hard for me. I whipped right through the game *snaps fingers*. I've got nerve.

Obscure 2 player was awesome. I love co-op games fullstop really but the puzzles were good while the fighting was cool as well. I bought the game (at quite a cheap price) purely because it said 2 player adventure and wasn't expecting much, though I'm definitely glad I bought it. Awesome game, worth the money.

Yeah Obscure 1 was sweet! I had it for pc and I loved it. Also because the horror was really well done (in the sense that is was scary) also I also enjoy playing this game with my sister in 2 players. Can't wait for the second to come out for Wii.
