Pega screen for portable Wii

Pega screen for portable Wii

Hong Kong company Pega have released a display screen for the Wii allowing gamers to take it out and about with them (yea, like people go outside any more).

Pega Wii screen.

Its key features are:

  • 7 inch screen
  • Keys to control volume and color balance
  • Screen direction can be adjusted in 4 ways

Me, I'll settle for my DS Lite.

Are you saying, you bring this outside with you? If that's the case, then that's total bullcrap!

Sounds cool on paper. But it's not very practical, is it?

Um, how do you get power to the Wii if you're outside? A long extension cord?

Just think how heavy that must be! And plus I have got loads of sketches for a portable Wii.

Swinging the wiimote in the car? Looks like accidentality.

It's definitely NOT bullcrap. As a frequent flyer, this will be an excellent way to ward off boredom.

I don't think it is useful, think about it. You still have to plug it in to the wall socket, which is at home. So I'd rather play on a big screen than some stupid 7 inch monitor.

I think this is a great idea. Great way NOT to get bored on a long trip. Better than a DVD player.

I had the gamecube screen which was pretty cool. It came with a car power lead which was great! But without a car adaptor or battery pack, this will be a bit pointless. Mind you, most batteries for consoles don't last very long. That being said I can still think of loads of interesting uses for it. I reckon someone like joytech will release a better one soon with a combine battery. The sales of this one will depend on the price.

I don't really understand the point of this, portable screens are usually used by people who put them in their cars for their kids. Or some people who buy them just because they can be turned on quick and it's really portable if you're going to a place with electrical receptacles. Plus most people use their wii's on large screen, it all adds to the atmosphere of Wii games.

I think it is a good idea. Especially if you haven't got a TV. I haven't got a TV and have been wanting a Wii for months. I now can finally get one.

Imagine playing sword play on Wii sports resort on an airplane and nailing the guy sitting next to you with your wiimote.
