A listing for a strategy book on Amazon called Sonic World Adventure: Prima Official Game Guide has led to widespread rumors about Sonic Unleashed being renamed.
Sega's European blogs have come out and refuted the news, claiming that World Adventure was simply the original name, before Sonic Unleashed.
"Unleashed was indeed, at an early developmental stage, going to be called Sonic World Adventure. But no - Unleashed Sonic is so Sonic Unleashed it shall be".
It seems as though Prima needs to update their book title. Unleashed looks to be the most promising Sonic home console game in years, don't let us down Dimps!

I think they had this same issue with Sonic and the Secret Rings. It was orginally called Sonic Wildfire but they changed they name. Oh well, whatever name they give this new Sonic game, I'll be just fine with it.

Let it be good, Sonic CD good, Sonic Adventure good no more royal crap SEGA, so Dreamcast is dead is that an excuse?
Diddy Kong Lover said:
They should call it Sonic 7 (Heroes and Shadow were more like spin-offs and Sonic '06 is '06 bogus number 6, maybe 7 will be the lucky number).

I really, really don't want them to mess this one up.

Probably a good thing. We don't need another Sonic Wild Fire to Sonic and the Secret Rings fiasco.

Diddy Kong Lover, why do you always hate a new Sonic game when it comes out? If you're a 2d Sonic fanboy, then by all means leave this one alone and ignore it.

I wish they kept the name Sonic Wildfire, it sounded way better than Secret Rings. If this game does get unleashed I would rather have it prove Sonic's true intention and not some gimmicking or failed attempts. I'm talking give him speed and simplicity and not a mess of a platformer.

That's good. Sonic World Adventure sounded a little too childish for me.

Even though Sonic World Adventure does sound a bit childish, the ADVENTURE (remember 1 and 2?) part does sound ever so promising. The fact that this was gonna' have Adventure in the name (even in its early stages) makes me hope for the best.

Who cares about the title? Just call it sonic and hand it off to Nintendo to publish.
