Stardate 1337133710101. Bethesda Softworks have officially confirmed their next Star Trek title will be Star Trek: Conquest on the Wii.
Conquest puts you in control of your preferred race, whether it's the Federation, Klingon, Romulan, Cardassian, Dominion or Breen. You then set out to take control of the galaxy, one planet at a time. Don't know what the Prime Directive would make of that.
A strategy game at heart, you'll view the big picture on a map showing your fleet. Once battle begins, it switches to a view of your ship where you can input commands in real-time using the Wiimote.
As a non-RTS fan it's hard to get excited about this one. It's a budget game as well, supposedly retailing at $29.99.

Well, I'm not a fan either but this seems to have a lot of options and probably has a lot of depth to it. I still doubt I'm going to get it because the series really was horrible and the games aren't any better usually.

Personally I think this could be great. Then again I am a big fan of turn-based games and a huge fan of Star Trek. So as long as news of this game does not suck too bad I am going to get it. I just hope the RTS part is in a 3D map not 2D. That would RAWK! 2D will do, as long as they put some meat to the gameplay. Here is hoping for the best!

I'm not a big fan of RTS games, but I have faith in Bethesda. And that's a lot of races for this genre, which traditionally has three, maybe four. I'll wait and look at the reviews (if you remember, their last Trek game was less than stellar; hopefully, this time around, they have a better idea of what they're doing).

They rushed the hell out of Legacy but after it was patched 2 months later it was a good game. It could have been awesome if the suits had not rushed it for Xmas. HEAR THAT SUITS! Let the developers do their magic!
