This actually took me a while to decide but in the end I voted Pit. If I could, my other choices would have been wolf/falco (not sure which yet), meta-knight, marth, Tlink, diddy, pokemon trainer, sonic, zero suit, snake, lucario and ness. Look like Link and Toon Link are beginning to win (at 13.5%), but hopefully Kirby (WOOT! Go Kirby!) can reach up. Sonic is in second with 10.6%, and Kirby and Pit are tied at 8.7%.

Zelda gets a very slight edge over Samus in my book. While Samus has an excellent long range atack (aka missils and charge beam), Zelda has a little more power at close range. Sheik transformation also allows her to pile on the damage quickly.

It's not that no one likes bowser, I think he's the best video game villain ever made. It's just not many people used him in melee and they're voting for him based off of melee. He's probably going to be better in brawl though.
I like balanced characters like mario. I probably won't be using luigi much because even though he's a balanced character he hasn't changed much from melee from the 64 version.

I voted Pokemon trainer. Why? Because he's the bomb that's why. Out of all of PT's pokemon though squirtle is my favorite. My next favorite character would have been toon link. I've wanted him in a smash game since I first played Wind Waker. Third would have been Snake, because he has the most unique moves in the game.

Link and Toon Link should not have been grouped together. Just ask any Zelda fan, and they'll tell you that one is obviously better than the other. Most will say regular Link, but that's aside the point. I voted for them anyway.

WiiNinja, how is that anything like putting a Wireframe in Melee. And, just as a side note, you can play as a wireframe with AR. Anyone that is old enough to have owned an NES, knows how random that game was. I mean, c'mon, 8-bit games and robots don't mix. But it's nostalgic to all ends, and R.O.B deserves the spot.

It's Wario for me. He moves fast for a heavyweight character, his "fart charge" (when he waves his arms upward) doubles as an attack, his bike makes him faster and deadlier, his final smash is more useful than many people think. He has, like, nine different color schemes, and he is the funniest character to beat your brother with *sings* Wari-Wari-Wariooo, Wariooo, Warioooo.
What? I can't vote for the sandbag? Well, it's a toss up between Pit, ROB, and Mr Game&Watch for me, but I got to give to the flatman. He's improved much since Melee.

Well after I've thoroughly played as all the characters, I can honestly say they are all balanced out very well and are just as good as each other. But the overall best characters that most people play as (that I know of) are Pit and Metaknight. My best is now Pit and I wish I'd voted for him.
All of the characters in Brawl are all great (except for Jigglypuff).

I voted for Snake. I'm sorry, he just totally is the best. Has anyone gone to Shadow Moses Island as him and a second player? I like it when they're talking about Zero Suit Samus the best, it's funny. Well, I picked Snake because I was a bit surprised when I saw him in the roster, and he's not that bad, his attacks are just slow. Zelda's my best (is it just me or has Din's Fire improved?) but Snake ftw.
Lucas and Ness are the best, obviously! Jigglypuff is awesome too, but we haven't unlocked her yet.
I have had the game for almost 3 weeks now, and I can say that my best characters are as follows: 1) Toon Link 2) Link 3) Marth 4) Lucario 5) Ike. Those are my top 5. Lucario is a good character, no doubt about it, but I need to get used to him: his smash attacks are slow and laggy, which poses problems when facing strong opponents like Ike. I like his midair attacks though: strong and quick, just the way I like it. His final smash is great too, just one problem: if you are fighting Pit or Meta Knight, they can fly up and easily avoid it. The aura beam is slow to move.

Yay! Link and Toon Link are winning! And Sonic, one of my other best characters, is in a close second, I THINK Lucario is in 6th of 7th, and Ike is in 4th or 5th. 3 of my best characters. I wish they all tied for first.
Tch Yoshi, Sonic and Wolf are best, they should be top 5. For one Wolf is a quick fighter, it's hard to escape his fast claw attacks. Yoshi's head smashes are just as strong as Ike's sword and quicker, plus Yoshi is the greatest. And then there is Sonic, now I shouldn't have to explain myself on this one, he's fast so he is good in combat and can get the smash orb way faster than any character. Also his special attack kills everyone, it's like an awesome version of Pikachu.

Yes, I admit, Wolf is my best character.
I like wario because of his unpredictability, wolf because of his speed of attacks and the range of his smashes, luigi because of his aerial dominance, captain falcon because of his speed and the knee of death, and snake because of his projectiles and mines, and his all powerful (but extremely laggy) fsmash.
Come on Mario! You're the best character and greatest SSB legend.

I'm going against the crowd and say my favorite is Mr Game & Watch. For whatever reason, he's my best character. I beat so many people online with him. Plus his moves are kind of cool and he's easy to control.

One of my favorite characters is Meta Knight. He fights like an actual (fantasy) swordsman, and his quotes are so cool! Example: "Victory is destiny".

I only like Sonic Genesis games. I haven't tried all of his other games, except I love Sonic Saturn and I found Secret Rings to be the closest to that original play style. By the way, I love Pikmin. Olimar is the shiz.
Mario is and always will be the best brawler. I like Luigi, but he is a little clumsy. Sonic is awesome but I am always Mario no matter what.

I don't get it. Link is horrible in Brawl. His range is much shorter. And the boomerang's practically worthless now. Toon link's decent, but still just barely top tier. Can't compete with marth, falco, sonic or lucas.
Um well Wolf by far is the sweetest and by far most powerful character, he is also my best character.

Toon Link is way better than regular Link. Both Ike and Marth rock (the choice is a question of more power or non-suicide recovery move). I am amazed that Sonic got so many votes. He's one of the most useless characters. I'm guessing it's mostly Sega fanboys.

Even though I knew most people would say this, I voted for Link, simply because he's a very rounded character to play with, that I'm used to from Melee as well. He's popular for a reason. But having said that some other reasonable characters are quite low on the vote score.

I prefer mewtwo than lucario. Mewtwo's darkness was a lot cooler than lucarios lame one of a kind aura. And besides, Mewtwo is a classic pokemon, lucario isn't even legendary.
