Arc Rise Fantasia User Review

A great RPG on Wii.

Arc Rise Fantasia is an rpg that basically plays like final fantasy 7, but manages to muster in a few other things that could be pretty entertaining. Now, let's start off with the most important part of the game the gameplay. The controls work great, classic controller or nunchuk respond well, but classic is better for this type of game. Basically, the combat feels a bit stale at the begin, being a tedious and boring experience. But, once you pump up your character and equip items, magic, etc. Its actually fun. Basically, your characters take turns by sacrificing a certain amount of ap, for there next plain, once your down to 0, or don't have much left then your turn ends. It's actually really fun and the bosses are epic. They actually force you to pull some strategy in, in hopes that you do not get slaughtered. Now for the main problem, the voice acting the english dub by all means is horrendous, with countless lip sync moments and annoying characters. Its quite a shame really because the game has a solid soundtrack. In terms, of lifespan this game is about a long 20 hours and it will take awhile not counting the consistent retries from boss fails. Overall, Arc Rise Fantasia is a solid rpg despite the flaws holding it back, if you could bear through the god awful english dub, then this an rpg that you will enjoy.
