Battalion Wars 2 User Review
An RTS and 3rd person game, what else do you want ?
The original Battalion Wars for the underestimated Nintendo Gamecube was full of potential, but instead got the cold shoulder because the Gamecube was just about deceased by the time this wonderful game came out. People didn't give this game a good reputation but since review sites started to review this game it became a "sleeper hit" overnight.
Nintendo realized the success of this game, but people still weren't happy that the fact that this game didn't have any online play. Three years later you get a revamped sequel named Battalion Wars 2. This game is now recognized not to be a "sleeper hit", it is recognized to be a great game that people will not sleep over on with online play and a wonderful game with fantastic gameplay, lifespan, and as always wonderful sound.
The gameplay is just about the same and you still can control multiple people of your army and flight team. New vehicles, aircrafts and online play really make playing against you and your friends pretty fun.
The lifespan will never get old, especially the online play with multiple maps. Plus the game can hold you a while, especially on HARD difficulties.
Graphics are still on the cartoony side too and some people hate this and some people love this, but you should love this - it has a sort of anime feel to it. With the bouncy character movements that make the characters seem clutsy is just plain humor to the game, it really adds onto it.
The sound from explosions to gun fire to airplanes to tanks sound tremendous. You will start to really feel as if you were in a battle. Now details about the ONLINE PLAY. NO FRIEND CODES. That's right no friend codes and you can play Co-op, deathmatch, team deathmatch and capture the flag together with your friends and random people on Nintendo Wi-fi.
If this game doesn't remind you of all of the other fun online games out there, then there must be a problem with you. And for my final word, this game is definitely a buy.
