Cooking Mama: Cook Off User Review
I called a friend of mine to pick up this game for me. Of course, I paid him. I could go on with that story yada-yada-yada, but let's get to the beef.
Gameplay
This game was simply amazing. You can peel, cut, dice, chop and more with the Wii Remote. My only known glitch/problem are on the stove scenes. I always had a problem turning the temp. from low to high, then high to low. I got it a few times, but it occurred way too much. The directions are very helpful for the game, and it makes the experience more enjoyable. Be very careful on some scenes, where you may have to drain water; for the remote is VERY SENSITIVE!
I really recommend Cooking With Friends, which is a two player face off. I have never laughed as hard as I did when I saw two people go at it and screw their dishes up. I especially like the fact you cook food from all around the world; such as Squid Ink Spaghetti, Popcorn, Mochi, Beef in Wine Sauce, and Paella.
Lifespan
The game gets boring at some parts. It is a repetitive game, so if you hate these kinds of games, be cautionary. It will keep you entertained for quite awhile though!
Graphics
If you are wondering what kind of graphics lie inside the game, they are like Wario Ware: Smooth Moves visuals. Simple, but well done.
Sound
Wow. The music is catchy, that I will warn you about. The sounds are mediocre. The girl and her mom are clearly voiced by Japanese women and you will hear; "Wonderful! Better than Mama!" a LOT.
Summary
Overall, it was worth the buy. The only big problem was that you didn't get to eat the food! (yes go ahead, bite your TV). But, still this is an excellent game! Don't just take my word for it though, you should decide on the game player that you are.
