Red Steel User Review
Proves that FPS can work on the Wii.
Gameplay
This game is 90% using guns and 10% sword fighting. At first the wiimote will feel awkward but after 30 minutes you'll get the hang of it. Also you zoom in by moving the wiimote to the screen, which is really easy and responsive. The gunfights are awesome, a lot of action with a good variety of weapons. The AI could be better, some will run past you or freeze. The sword fighting is relatively simple at first, and then you can learn combos, dodging and parrying, so the sword fights get really intense later on in the game. So all in all, the gameplay is awesome. There are a lot of glitches, but none affect gameplay.
Lifespan
The game is 7-12 hours long I'd say. There is some replayabilty, and mutiplayer. In multiplayer there are no bots, it's pretty standard. Nothing really special, but still fun to play against friends.
Graphics
Pretty impressive for a Wii game on launch. Could be better, could be worse. It's easily manageable.
Sound
AMAZING. The game uses full advantage of the Wiimotes speakers. You'll hear the reloading sound from the wiimote which adds to the realism.
Summary
In conclusion, this game is fun but I would suggest renting it first. It's one of those love or hate games, and I'm loving it!
