About me: Me? Well, I'm a classic rock loving- video game worshipping Journalism student from Missouri. I love video games of nearly all types, but Nintendo will always be the closest to my heart. I've grown up surrounded by Mario, Link, Fox, Samus and the rest of the lot, and I plan to grow old with them as well. Analysis is my forte; I love looking at classic titles in a more analytical and thought provoking way.

I'm somewhat annoyed that it's only available in the Nintendo World Store. I wish Nintendo had more stores, similar to a mobile provider. Then they could see exclusive things and perform repairs more conveniently.

Super Mario 3D World was planned as a Wii U launch title. I feel like if it had launched with that game, the initial reception to the console would have been better. I do feel like Wii Sports was an excellent launch title because it perfectly showed off the new motion controls.

I actually appreciate your lower Super Mario World number. Many lists don't look at the games too objectively. Super Mario Bros. 3 was quite impressive, given their very limited hardware. They pushed the NES to the limits. Super Mario Bros, Super Mario World, and Super Mario 64 all served as incredible launch titles. I wish Nintendo would launch with an innovative Mario title again someday.

on My Top Five Mario Games...

Super Mario Sunshine is near the top of my list. As far as Mario Platformers go, I really love it, but I dislike the fact that there are very few levels. I really enjoy the Paper Mario series. I really love the Galaxy games as well, but I prefer the more open levels of Sunshine and 64. There are just so many choices to choose from. Nice read though. I really enjoy that you included Mario Paint. I'm really glad they're making a spiritual successor in the form of Mario Maker.

GameStop irritates me so much. My local GameStop is populated with very annoying employees that act like they know everything. I was there two months ago buying a PS4, and instead of trying to sell it to me like an actual salesman, he kept on dissing all consoles and acting like a PC elitist. It irritated me quite a bit.

I feel like Indie developers like this are the key to unlocking the potential of the gamepad. Nintendo will probably get more innovative with it, if E3 told us anything, but all the greatest ideas like hidden in the masses of fans.

That sort of store sounds really cool. Finding treasures like that is so satisfying. And every time you find a little game store, you never know what you'll find inside.

This game looks quite intriguing! I'll be sure to look into it when the time comes.

We don't have GAME over here in the US. It's pretty much dominated by GameStop. I always try to avoid them. It really depends on what I'm looking for though. GameStop does a magazine called Game Informer that I subscribe to. It disappoints me quite a bit though. Nintendo definitely gets the short end of the stick in the magazine. Mostly populated with shooters. I suppose that's what the media pays attention to as well.

on Nintendo Reports Quarterly Loss...

I agree. Finishing in third in terms of sales does not mean third in terms of profit. And, the major problem with the PS4 and Xbox One supporting primarily third party games, is that sales are split among them, whereas the Wii U is comprised primarily of exclusives.

I love writing opinion pieces. I sure hope VR is in their future. Playing Zelda U in VR would be quite an experience.

It's such an excellent contrast to his score in Super Mario Galaxy. The music was heavily orchestrated and quite bombastic. It added to the cosmic feel of the game.

Such a great choice. Ironically enough, I am literally in the middle of replaying Super Mario Sunshine as I type this. His music in Sunshine is almost like a vacation. So relaxing.

on Opinion: The Greatest Launch Title?...

Thanks! I was so young when the game first launched ( I was only 1), but I still play the game to this day. That's how you know a game is truly timeless.

I did some fact checking, and it turns out you are indeed correct. I usually get Wave Race and Pilot Wings mixed up. :(

Wii's World is not officially affiliated with Nintendo! (but they wish we were).
