Dixie Kong is allegedly dating Diddy Kong, but they have the same last names. Mmm-hmm.
Son Ninja said:
Whether the word Kong is a family name or the name of their clan (like a tribe) is anyone's guess. Nintendo never intend to reveal anything as of yet but since Diddy did date Dixie, the 'Kong' name might refer to them as being in the same clan not the same family but that's just an educated guess.

@wiipaw, There is no incest in video games and @son ninja, there is no explanation, but it sure is funny now that I think about it. Wiipaw just made my life.
