Madden NFL 07

With the exclusive video game license of the NFL and PLAYERS INC., Madden NFL 07 continues to be the #1 football franchise in history. With the launch on the Nintendo Wii, Madden NFL 07 takes advantage of the revolutionary controller design and all-new Madden FreeMotion controls to create a new controller-focused experience, bringing Madden's gameplay depth alive in a whole new and immersive way.

Wii-only Features

  • New FreeMotion Controls: Intuitive new Madden controls for the Wii adding new levels of gameplay depth. Introduces a whole new way to throw like the pros do as well as hike, catch, juke and stiff arm.
  • Exclusive multiplayer mini-games: Wii-Only Mini Games designed to support four player gameplay. '2 on 2' brings back school yard football but using NFL players, Y.A.C Attack makes the action 3 on 1 as each player gets a shot at QB versus 3 defenders. Kicking Combine gives you a fast paced FreeMotion field goal kicking challenge
  • New Wii multiplayer enhancements: Wii only Multplayer enhancements increase the fun factor for up to four players. Multiplayer Sprint allows users help a teammate by boosting sprint speed and players can control the wind in Kicking Combine.
  • New Play Calling system designed for basic football fan knowledge: New play calling system simplifies football to commonly understood names and makes the game easy to pick up and play. Pick plays by play type using basic tactics of football like short pass or outside run. More advanced Madden fans can still use the full NFL playbooks like any other version of Madden.
  • Madden In Game tutorials: New in-game tutorials teach users how to use new FreeMotion controls and allow users to practice within the game.

Key features of Madden NFL 07

  • Lead Blocker Control: Throw the perfect block and create a running lane with all-new lead blocking control, and then take command of the tailback and rip off a big gain.
  • Run Like the Players Run with All-New Highlight Moves: Bust out player-specific running styles matching those of real NFL players (e.g., smaller backs slash to break tackles, while bigger runners bowl over defenders in the open field). All-new jukes, cutbacks, and power moves.
  • NFL Superstar: Hall of Fame Mode: Create and customize your own player and play on Sundays from any position on the field. Be an NFL Superstar both on and off the field.

This game looks very fresh and new gameplay wise. Remember this is coming from EA, the company that uses the "If it's not broken don't fix it" motto.

No, no, NO! Why do they make these stupid football games? No one buys them!

There's supposed to be a more advanced training camp mode. Or was that for the 360? I hope it makes full use of the wii remote.

And by the way, Madden is the best selling video game franchise out there.

The only people who really hate football in the USA are people who've been stuck inside their house all day playin metroid or pokemon. Those games are ok but GO OUT AND GET SOME FRESH AIR. Well Madden is gonna be pretty awesome on the wii, but the graphics will not compare with other systems such as the xbox 360 or ps3.

Noah of Nintendo Bunker, go jump off a cliff! The reason you hate football is because you get beat up by the kids who play it.

I feel sorry for the football player on the cover of this game.

Well where I live we don't have NFL because in Australia we have rugby union and Australia's own created sport rugby league and AFL. AFL is really bad, I don't support it. I love playing sports more than games but I don't play many sport games on consoles to be honest, but maybe I'll consider this one for the time being.

Football games are alright if you're bored, but with the wiimote motion sensitive control I just might get it.

Yea seriously how can you hate Football? I mean I like to play video games but I play sports all the time. Well anyway I played the Xbox 360 version at my friends and it's a little buggier than the PS2 one, but it will probably be different for the wii since they're overhauling everything in order to accomodate the wiimote.

The graphics won't compare? Hmm funny, the lead guy making Madden Wii has just confermed the graphics are on par with the 360 version give or take, and all the latest hd streams point to that being the case. The only difference is that 720p is not supported. Stop getting brainwashed into Wii won't do great graphics, to think that is stupid. It takes 4 times more ram space to do the same texture in HD. Wii is doing next gen graphics, it's just not wasting space and expense on true HD. The Wii version of Madden has been comfermed to have vastly better gameplay and far more modes of play than the 360 version.

No it won't, they said it would be better than the Xbox's and competing with Xbox 360s.

To everyone who hates NFL games:

No one is forcing you to buy them, so stop whining!

Using the Wiimote to throw the ball is going to be a lot of fun. I'm excited for this.

Honestly, noah, this is not the first time I've read one of your posts. You're not a normal idiot. You're a new breed; an overachieving moron. Madden is the reason I buy new video game systems. Everyone buys them. They're consistently the highest selling video games on the market. Did you eat a lot of paint chips as a kid?

Crimson Hawk said:

Amen rollin. And Chilles you sure told the drug obsessed maniac NoB.

All madden games in history have been great and I don't doubt this one. The Wii has limited sports games out right now and madden is a decent game to invest in.

Noah of Nintendo Bunker, What game DO you like if you say every game sucks.

SplinterCell, you hate the cowboys too? Well I'm a Giants fan, sadly, and although the Redskins are another NFC east rival, I hate the cowboys and those damned eagles so much more.

This game is actually a lot of fun. I've never been into sports games on a console other than hockey (don't get the chance to in real life in Texas) but I rented this and it surprised the hell out of me. It was such fun to play. A little complex at first, but once you got the controls and got coordinated, it ruled!

Gonzo said:

Nice graphics.

Splintercell4ever said:

Yeah, well I hate how the Cowboys are called "America's Team". The Redskins name is based of native americans, so if anyone should be called by that name, it should be them.
