Rayman Raving Rabbids

Rayman Raving Rabbids marks the return of the iconic video-game hero, Rayman, in his funniest and zaniest adventure ever. When the world of Rayman is threatened by a devastating invasion of crazed, out-of-control bunnies Rayman must rise up against his furry foes to foil their wicked plans.

Utilizing an array of amazing new abilities, and with the help of magical creatures, Rayman must break out all the moves to save his world from these delirious bunnies and their hare-raising antics.

"It's a real pleasure for me to be back working on an all-new Rayman," said Michel Ancel. "After wrapping up Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie, the team here in Montpellier sat down to talk about having some fun with Rayman and his universe. We are running into a bit of a problem, though, because our game has been invaded by thousands of raving mad and vicious bunnies, who have apparently been preparing this assault since the very first Rayman game. We are now sending an SOS to all motivated gamers to help us get rid of them as fast as possible!"

Key Features:

  • Combat the Ultra-Crazed Evil Rabbits - Take control of Rayman and his knack for attack to help save his world from the raving rabbids. They are mischievous, insane and completely out of control. There are several types of rabbids each with its own mischievous characteristics.
  • Master and Ride Creatures - Tame and control various creatures such as sharks, eagles, rhinos, spiders and angelfish. Rayman can master each animal's unique capabilities to help in his battle against the devious rabbits.
  • Dress to Impress - Customize and disguise Rayman. Go punk, pop, rock or hip hop to infiltrate the bunnies and foil their devious plans.
  • Explore the Colorful Fantastic World of Rayman - Explore amazing free-roaming environments and beautiful epic landscapes that mix real and fantastical styles to create a visually stunning experience.

Good

If you're looking for a platformer Rayman game, this isn't for you. But you'll still like it anyways. Although it's a little confusing at the beginning due to an unfortunate lack of storyline, what happens is Rayman's world is overrun with large, deranged creatures called...read full review

What happened to the Rayman universe I'm used to? Where are the lums and all that?

Rayman looks cool with a purple afro, yay.

Interesting. You never knew Rayman was around any more. In the biggest comeback from the world cup! Rayman will be back in more glorious mouth watering 3-d graphics than ever.

Holy crap, this game looks crazy! Disco Rayman, freaky rabbits, mountains that shoot lasers! Looks like fun.

Has anyone seen the movies for this game? Like, the one with the rabbit and the vacumm cleaner? Those are freaking funny!

Avatar

gimp said:

I saw the soccer one. Those are not mountains, they're giant robot bunnies.

Someone Cooler Than You said:

Yeah, when I saw the movies I saw how they moved around and stuff.

This game looks pretty cool but when I saw the movie I was thinking what's up with the goth kid and the grandpa?

Rayman is my third favorite series of games! This game will ROCK!

Maybe they should invent bell bottom socks for rayman. They work for disco night and the mutant wabbits can't get all up in them while you're sleeping.

This will be the best Rayman game. You can be gansta rayman in it.

I never really got into Rayman, but I'm really excited for this. It's on my need to buy list. It just looks like one of those kick-back-fun games and it looks hilarious.

Here we go, more madness from Ubisoft. Not that I'm complaining. Rayman rocks. Bring on the madness! *sits patiently in an armchair*

Avatar

Hey said:

Yep, Ubisoft sure has some varied games. They've made a stubbly government spy interrogate terrorists, and now they've got a game starring a limbless disco guy kicking some rabbit ass? I've gotta say, that's pretty cool!

Another game about evil rabbits. Didn't wallace & gromit try that and look how it turned out.

Lord Random said:

Dunno but the movie was good. Besides video games based on movies are usually crap anyway. But Rayman games are always cool and this should be no exception.

Lord Random said:

Surprisingly no-one's RPed on this topic. *sits back in armchair* But I'm sure it won't be long. *continues to wait patiently*

What's with the bunnies and plungers? If you look at the screenshots you see rabbits with plungers.

Seriously, what's up with all the hype about this? The only 2 platformers I like are Mario ones and Spyro I believe it was called (The dragon for PS1).

Avatar

tabsina said:

I have no idea what Spyro is but I personally have interest in this game because from the short clips I am guessing it will have the comedic style of Conker's Bad Fur Day, which I absolutely loved.

Avatar

Lord Random said:

Along the same lines but not as vulgar. But it's still hilarious. I wonder if it has unlockable movies like those 'Wanna Kick Rayman?' training videos from Rayman 3. Those made my ribs ache for hours.

Avatar

Kool-Aid said:

Just give me "Rayman 2 the great escape" 2 and I will be happy! That was the game that brought my great big juice-filled jug into gaming.

Avatar

Lord Random said:

Try Rayman 3. That played similarly to Rayman 2. Of course, no two games are exactly alike. If they were, that would just be boring.

Avatar

Epsilon said:

Man, I can't wait for this game! Minigame madness, bring it on.

Avatar

Hey said:

Does Rayman have a nose? Or arms? Or legs? Just wondering.

Rabbids. Why not Rapits? Get it? They like to dance, and are rabbits? If they could only dance rap, that would be a good name.

I'm more excited for this game than any other Wii game (and any other Next-Gen game).

When I saw the title "Raving Rabbids" I was a bit skeptical, but now looking at the pics and vids, I know for a fact this game will be a hit.

Feel the wrath of the totally awesome bug-eyed bunnies!

Avatar

FoolKilla said:

This game is going to be as funny as the trailers through almost the whole thing right? Because if it isn't, then I might as well plan to get a refund later.

Avatar

Captain Jamesman said:

This game is the weirdest Rayman game ever known. It has Crazy Bunnies, Rayman is enslaved again, but what else is new? And the fact that one of the Bunnies looks as big & scary as Jabba the Hut, he even has the name "Jabba Rabbit". Hope Lucas doesn't sue!

Avatar

DarkVic said:

I just read an update, and now I'm really not sure I want this game. Supposedly, the game is just a jumble of minigames that you have to complete in order to defeat the rabbids. That doesn't seem so fun. I'm in to normal platformers.

Avatar

Must..have..wii said:

Rayman was amazing on the 64, I really hope it will be another rayman platformer. If it's just another bundle of minigames I'm going to punch myself in the crotch.

Avatar

DarkVic said:

Well it doesn't really matter I guess. Either way, it's still a Rayman game right? Anyways, I'm still going to get it. Its great humour will compensate for its gameplay in my opinion.

Avatar

Captain Jamesman said:

I got word that the rabbids will actually dress up as certain outside characters, like Solid Snake and Superman for example.

Avatar

DarkVic said:

I heard that there's at least going to be ten platformer levels, the rest are minigames.

Avatar

Captain Jamesman said:

What stinks about Rayman is that they probably won't have those Costume upgrades. It's a conspiracy!

Sonic Fan said:

Are those bunnies supposed to be evil or something?

Avatar

O_0 said:

I just want it to see the rabbits. They're KEWL!

Avatar

floopy doop said:

Which one is evil? The bunnies look deranged, but the other dude is riding spiders and sharks to kill them!

GO Rayman! GO Rayman! Who doesn't like Rayman. My friend, Alan Davis likes it. But my other friend, Zak Kufeld, doesn't. Screw him! Rayman games ROCK!!

This game looks totally sweet!

Avatar

P-man said:

Do you expect just a game? Well trust me this one is amazing! Rayman isn't just Rayman any more. Game makers took it to the next level. I can't put it down! Why not lose some calories while playing a video game? Buy it!

Avatar

Captain Jamesman said:

This game looks cool and all, but I really miss the platforming goodness. I think this is a non-canonical Rayman game. In other words, not part of the series main story.
