Yay for Swords of Legendia whatever that is. Sounds pretty cool at least.

It's probably a sequel to Tales of Legendia. That means it's going to be pretty strange.

What kind of name is Legendia?

Avatar

ganondorfrules said:

A very odd one.

DarkVic said:

I'll stick with Final Fantasy.

This game's name is very odd indeed, but maybe I'll check it out closer to release.

They better make the Wiimote a virtual sword like they did in Red Steel. That's a revolutionary idea right there. As for the game itself, not much is known so far so I can't comment on it. Seeing as to how it's a Wii game I'm sure it's going to be at least halfway decent, so don't get your hopes down too much.

I think if it is a tales sequel, and it's anything like the tales games I've played, virtual sword would be pretty close to impossible. Try performing Lloyd's tempest from symphonia in real life.

TOSjunkie said:

I hope it's similar to Tales of Symphonia.

Harock said:

Ah another fantasy RPG.

Wii master said:

RPG's finally come to Wii. Supposedly a sequel to Legendia?

I like fantasy and I like RPGs so let's hope they do it like FF.

Crimson Demon said:

I wonder if it's a fantasy game. I love fantasy games.

Captain Jamesman said:

I'm more into RPG games like Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Disgaea & The Mana Series. And I'm starting out on Summon Nights: Swordscraft Story.

Dave Falcon said:

If this game is like Tales of Symphonia then get ready for a freakin awesome game.

Avatar

ganondorfrules said:

This may sound odd but I kind of hope its like fable, that game on xbox. I'm not a microsoft fan but the game was good and so was the storyline, whoever has played it would know what I mean.

Arkael said:

Why put a fantasy-rpg on the Wii system and not take advantage of the technology of the controller, why would I want to play a turn based rpg on a system that has the technology to move a sword in real time, nough said.

Avatar

Captain Jamesman said:

Is this game a free roam RPG or is it a turn based RPG?

Avatar

Flamzeron said:

It uses the LMBS I expect.

Avatar

Captain Jamesman said:

What the heck is LMBS?

Avatar

Dave Falcon said:

Rpgs is something Nintendo hasn't had for a while.

Avatar

Donkey KONG said:

LMBS is Linear Motion Battle System. This game is a continuation of the Tales series based loosely on the aftermath of Tales of Legendia.

Avatar

Captain Jamesman said:

In other words Donkey KONG, it's like fighting in a 2-D area. Is it like the same in Tales of the Abyss? (The one I have.).

Avatar

SenseiR said:

If tales of the abyss is a legit tales game then yes .

Thunda Hop said:

Is this game going to be like oblivion?

Avatar

Gonzo said:

If this game is like oblivion it's going to be crazy. I'm talking about the oblivion on the 360. That was in the GI Top 10 for game of the year.

Avatar

DarkVic said:

They seriously need to bring Oblivion to the Wii. Just think of using a sword, a mace, a club, a staff, an axe, and magic spells with the Wii remote. That would be crazy! The controls would revolutionize the elder scrolls games, just as it has with every other game.

Avatar

Thunda Hop said:

They can't put it on the Wii, they already tried.

Avatar

LloydIrving said:

I'm glad Tales of Legendia is moving out of the "Tales of" series. The only thing really Tales-y was that it used the out-dated LMBS. In my opinion, if it had used the Flex-RangeLMBS, like in Abyss, it would have been much better. Symphonia and Abyss are better Tales of games, and don't get me wrong, Legendia was at least half-decent, but I don't think it's Tales worthy.

Avatar

Cvhack said:

Hope it resembles the style of Tales of Symphonia. Now that was an excellent game!

Fire Emblem Fan 14 said:

It sounds interesting and like an RPG. And I totally go with LloydIrving and Cvhack. Tales of Symphonia was the best and did you guys know they are barely coming out with the animation! (coming out in Summer).

Legendia was awesome, but then again I loved all of the Tales series.

Thunda Hop said:

What is this game like? Is it like oblivion at all?

Avatar

gamergirl 89 said:

I heard it was a spin off of the Tales games so hopefully it's good like those games.

Avatar

Wii and KH said:

This could be good! Hopefully full use of the Wii Remote. I want them to put an ACTUAL Tales game to Wii too because I love them, and the only one I played was Tales of Symphonia for the GC.

Avatar

Tales Freak said:

You all do realize that Tales of Symphonia and Tales of Legendia aren't the only Tales games in the series right? Tales of Phantasia, Tales of Destiny, Tales of Eternia, Tales of Destiny 2, Tales of Rebirth, Tales of The Abyss, Tales of The World Radiant Mythology, and Tales of the Tempest. Yeah so if you haven't played Tales of Legendia, this is the sequel for it.

Avatar

Tenks said:

I hope it's based on the characters of Legendia.

Avatar

Fire Emblem Fan 14 said:

Yes I heard of it. Unfortunately I haven't played the others *sad*.

Avatar

Captain Jamesman said:

Only Tales game I played was Tales of the Abyss.

Avatar

Fire Emblem Fan 14 said:

I saw the animation for Tales of Symphonia. A little different from the game but still awesome.

Avatar

swordfire said:

Tales ha. Why changing the name? But still it sounds pretty cool, and if it is a namco rpg it'll be necessarily awesome.

Lloyd Aurion said:

I like the idea of a tales of game coming to the Wii but is this supposed to be a sequel to the tales of legendia story? I also hear talk about my favorite game coming to Wii as a sequel of tales of symphonia.

Avatar

Fire Emblem Fan 14 said:

Yes, I heard about that too. I want it so bad but I wonder if you will be able to play the old characters like Regal and Collete (my favorite characters).

Avatar

fantasy fan said:

All I want is for another final fantasy game like 7 or 9 to come out. Those were the best games ever and they would do well to make more like them.

Avatar

GameFanatic said:

I wonder how many players the new sequel will be. Since it is on the Wii, shouldn't they make it like the gamecube version - playable for 4 players?

Avatar

Minako said:

I hope you don't need any knowledge of Tales of Legendia if it is indeed a sequel. Because that was on PS2 and I don't have it. I'd LOVE to play it though *sigh*. I don't care anyway, as long as there's more rpgs on the wii.

I have only played Tales of Symphonia, and I really loved it. Are all the tales games pretty similar?

Well I played tales of Legendia and I really love it. I hope it's the continuation of that game.

You stick with final fantasy. FF has sucked since FF7. They need to just kill the game. FF12 opened up like star wars and the battle for naboo. And the control was just like parasite eve in my book. Oh, let's recycle the controls from a game that the new gamers will think is original. Blah, square sucks ass anymore. No story, shitty gameplay, horrible whiny limp bizkit voice overs, and linear gameplay. Give me FF2 for snes any day compared to ps2 FF or higher.

Zero said:

The game would be great if they have Senel to be their heroes again.

Avatar

Zero said:

Maybe we can use the nunchuk to punch at enemies using Senel power.

Avatar

Ale-whatever said:

God I hope this is a sequel to Tales of Legendia. Legendia has probably my favorite cast of characters. Senel> Lloyd in my opinion.
