Not surprising. However I personally bought "Pearl" (I'm bored with it). Why would "Diamond" sell so well? I guess it's because diamonds are forever. The Wii sales are certainly catching up to the DS Lite (gradually).

I'm no pokemaniac but, I don't get what makes Diamond sell more than Pearl. They're essentially the same game! Isn't it amazing that GBA sold half the number of units as PSP? What's more amazing is that GBA games are hardly made now! MS should focus on US and give up on JP. Just have a look at the numbers. A company should know to give up when they sell less units than DS Phats. Sony, Sony, tsk, tsk. Xbox Live has already taken firm root in the US, but Sony has nothing except for it's name and unproven BluRay. Guess what, Sega had a name, Atari had a name and look what happened. That may be a farfetched comparison, but loss of exclusives and hubris may shorten that proposed 10 year PS3 lifespan. MS's hold on Halo, GTA, and DMC4 are 3 more nails in PS3's proverbial coffin.

The only surprise is that ps3 has already dropped below 100k, I wasn't expecting this for another couple of months.

Man, that's just pathetic! The GBA is selling more than the PS3?!

Wii's competition: DS Lite. PS3's competition: GBA. Hahaha, that's incredibly pathetic. I'm surprised the 360 is still in the top 5, it's been out for more than a year now. I wonder if Bill Gates is buying them just for the sake of numbers. Seems likely with all that insane amount of money he has.

I like Pearl better for some reason. I'd rather get it than Diamond, everyone has it.

GBA did better than PS3! It's actually not that surprising.

I just bought diamond. The reason why I chose it over Pearl is because "Diamond" sounds so much cooler. With no previous experience with Diamond or Pearl, you pretty much choose based on the name.

You know ol' kaz hacked half those ps3 sales. The ps3's real competitor is the ngage.

I guess it's the anesthetic appeal of Diamonds that made it sell.

I think that the Wii will be the winner of this generation, think it's still sold out in stores. And people want it.

Maybe Diamond sold more because it's blue. People like blue a lot for some reason, and the majority of Pokemon fans are boys? Pearl is all pink and purple. But that stupid-ass saying 'Diamonds are a girl's best friend'. I have Pearl and Diamond myself, but Pearls my main.
