Beautiful Katamarwii

Beautiful Katamari, a sequel to the popular Katamari Damacy has been in the works for some time now. It was revealed by publishers Namco Bandai earlier this year, targeted for the 360 and PS3.

Now though, alleged whispers from sources close to Namco Bandai say the PoS3 version has been ditched due to development troubles and low sales of the machine. They say the game will be hitting the Wii instead.

No official confirmations are available so this is firmly in the rumor domain at the time being.

You roll everything on the map into your katamari (ball). You can only pick some things up until you get bigger. It is really fun.

You're pretty much a big ball that rolls around knocking over buildings and junk. It sticks to you so you get bigger and bigger.

I keep hearing about this Katamari and it looks like a strange game. Poor Sony may be losing Katamari soon. Konami would have to be idiotic not to release Katamari on Wii. It just looks like it should be a Wii game instead. As powerful as the PS3 is, its future is more in jeopardy than Wii or 360.

Seems like a rather reasonable rumor, seeing as how Sony does lick the balls 'n' all. It'd be a much better idea to go with Wii instead of PoS3. (Gonzo: That wasn't a typo. Katamari Damacy had you going around as this weird looking alien thing pushing around a ball that attracted objects. Really unique and random game. Also, PoS = Piece of Shit. I thought you knew that).

Gonzo, the point of the game is to play it, read up on it to understand what you do in it. PoS3 means what you think it means, and yes, it is making fun of it.

Clearly he's making fun of it. The point of the game it to roll up as much crap as you can within a time limit. The more stuff you roll up. The bigger your katamari gets. However, the real point of the game is fun. As it's easily one of the most entertaining and enjoyable games you'll ever play.

PoS mean Piece of Sh*t. Very cute. Of course, the 360, with its "Ring o' Death" issues more closely matches that description. This rumor had better be true. Absolutely love the Katamari series.

They've just announced it at E3, and I (being a Wii owner) am extremely happy. I actually don't blame the developers for ditching the PS3. And the whole "it's because of development format troubles" is just a polite way of breaking up the outlived lovers. It truly is a fun game, even if it doesn't look it.
