Buy Wii Points with your VIP Stars
Nintendo have sent out a mass email confirming you will be able to purchase Wii Points from the Stars Catalog on the official site.
Great news for those of us with a lot of stars saved up.

Yay I'm a vip, all those that have bought ANY Nintendo item, go onto Nintendo.com and type in the vip code that you get in your game case, and you get stars. You also get 5 stars for just signing in.
Nintendo of Europe better do this too. I have a CRAPload of star points to spend!

Stars are the things you get free with Nintendo games and consoles. Inside the game case there's a sheet of paper with a silver thing you scratch off to see a code. Register at www.nintendo-vip.com and enter your codes there to build up your star points.

I've got 5060 right now. In case anyone missed it, you get 500 stars with your Wii console. Plus some with Wii Sports.
I think I am currently on 3385 stars. I've never purchased anything off the site because I only registered when I heard about buying Wii points and I'm saving them all for that. I hope that each Wii point is 1 star. I don't want to be paying around 5000 stars for 1,500 Wii points.

The stars that come with the Wii should be in the Wii sports game case.
Gaz, it's by the manuals. In the plastic bag. The one from Wii sports in the Wii sports case. How intelligent. So I got 500 points: 250 Wii, 250 Wii sports?! With my gamecube set I got the same (wind waker set). 500 for the set.
Ultimate power! I have stocked up over 8000 Nintendo stars over the course of the thingy and they finally pay off. Now I have to hope for a 1 to 1 conversion rate.

Does anyone know the conversion rate? I have 3000, but I can't find anywhere the conversion rate. BTW any of you who are getting the Sandisk Wii memory sd cards then DON'T! You can get a 2gb sd card for 12.99 on amazon, so don't pay the massive 37 extra just because it says Wii on the front!

It says on the uk ngamer magazine for feburary that by linking your VIP account to your Wii and by filling in an online questionnaire you can trade your stars for Wii points.

If you think you'll get 1000 Wii points for one thousand stars you must be dreaming. You'll more likely get 100 or 200 points for a thousand stars.

There on your game register card, that's where the star points are.

Hopefully it won't be long, Currently at over 13000 VIP Points. Just hope the conversion rate is good, 100 Vip = 100 Wii points would be nice.
Well it is officially a 4:1 conversion rate for anyone who doesn't know, not that good. I'm in the UK and it's here, so the way we always get things after a delay I would assume it's out in most countries now. Sucks to be in South Africa though, they have to wait until the 2nd half of 2008.

I must say I got extremely excited with this at first when I was reading about ways to get free Wii points (there's no way unless you steal someones number thing aha). I'm from Scotland and I wasn't too sure when it first started but I noticed a week ago or something. Ogichi is right; and if you're not good at ratios it's THIS MANY (400 stars) for THIS MANY (100 Wii points). And you can buy a 300 point card, 500 point and 1000 point card. But you can only buy one a day. Don't be a moron and go buy games just for the VIP card things. It's cheaper buying the points. I say this because I know someone will be stupid enough to try it! Wii RULES!
They should bring out more N64 games, a lot of the games on the virtual console are just rubbish. Banjo Kazooie should be the next one on there.
You can get Wii points by saving up stars, you get these stars in a Nintendo related game like mario kart Wii, pokemon battle revo, harvest moon, and loads more other Nintendo games. I hope this helped most of you, I use it quite a lot.
