Cars sequel announced

Cars sequel announced

Earlier today, THQ announced an upcoming sequel to Cars, which will hit Nintendo platforms in late 2007.

The game is called Cars Mater-National. Cars was the best selling kids video game franchise in 2006, THQ are hoping the sequel will lead to the same success.

"Cars Mater-National will offer fans of the film a fresh adventure set in the super-fueled world of Radiator Springs. The video game will feature all-new international characters vying for their chance to compete against Lightning McQueen in the First Annual Mater-National Race Festival.".

New tracks, mini-games and more than 10 multiplayer games will be included. Cars 2 will be released on Wii, DS and even Gameboy Advance.

GBA? What's the point of that? About the Cars movie; it completely sucked, I wish they had never made such a big deal about it in the first place. The only funny thing throughout the whole movie was "Tow Mater", and that's because I'm from the south.

I know. The movie wasn't great, but it was far from terrible! I mean, what was wrong with it in the first place. I thought the movie was funny, especially when mater was playing around with the cow-like motor thingies. Then there was the driving backwards thing.

We need to consider the importance of demographics in this argument. The movie was for young kids, not all you too-cool-for-everything adult game nerds. My 4 year old kid loves it, and the game too. Some people just need to get a life. Damn!
