The NPD numbers for the month of July are in. These track hardware sales in the US.

- Nintendo Wii - 555,000
- Sorry PS3 - 224,900
- Sorry PSP - 221,700

I'm happy with the wii's continued success, but what pleases me more is the brilliant (but not as good as wii) PS3 is finally getting the sales. Not great sales but I can't wait for the day it beats xbox 360,.

David k, if I were a normal Big N fan I would be screaming at you. But I'm not. While I don't like the PS3, I do agree with you that I should be open to other systems. I'm okay with xbox (my favorite game ever is a tie between Portal and Knights of the old Republic), and I'm also a big PC fan (Spore).

I'm predicting that the Wii might actually still sold out for the rest of 2009 and 2010. Of course, this is my opinion and hopefully on those two coming years, more good games will come our way.

Well I'd rather see ExBox in the middle, because Sony has murdered other companies, made 64 lose and took the top, PS3 deserves the bottom This is AWESOME.

I wonder if 360 will steal the multitude of sales from PS3 as it did with GTA4? Not to mention, 360 is getting Last Remnant and Infinite Undiscovery. That's 2 more confirmed RPG exclusives that 360 has over PS3! In my opinion, blame the high launch price. "Sorry PS3" is a new one but "Xbroke" never gets old. What will they come up with next month. Stay tuned kiddos.

I own a Wii now and will get a PS3 in a few months. I think the Wii will stay on top until the next generation and the PS3 will become more popular while the xbox 360 will stay in third.
