New Mario and Metroid for Wii

Super Mario Galaxy 2

Nintendo had several cool announcements to make during their presentation earlier at the E3 Expo. Among the biggest of these, Super Mario Galaxy 2 is coming to Wii. Judging by the video, it's more of the same (not a criticism) but this time Yoshi plays an important role.

Metroid: Other M

Team Ninja, the well respected developers behind franchises like Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden are on board with Big N to make a new Metroid game. That game is Metroid: Other M. Touted as a brand new type of experience, it promises to draw the player further into the Metroid universe than ever before. Reggie's words, not mine.

Sweet! Any company that is involved with the Ninja gaiden series are bound to do wonders for the metroid series and me being a Yoshi fan I am naturally excited about the new SMG.

There is another Mario coming out you didn't mention. It's called new Super Mario Bros Wii or something like that. It doesn't look great though, it's a multiplayer game that looks kind of like a Little Big Planet rip off.

Gatorade. How on earth is super mario bros Wii a rip off of little big planet? No offense but this is hardly a rip off and besides new super mario bros ds was already made before LBP came out so no it's not a remake.

New Super Mario Bros Wii isn't anything like the DS version. It looks like Little Big Planet to me from the minute of gameplay they released I could be totally wrong, just an opinion.

Metroid other m could turn out an amazing game, there's nothing remotely like it on ps3 x360. Again Nintendo shines.

Wow the new Metroid looks great! From the screens it is looking like the older Metroid games? If that's so I'm SO buying it. Because personally I've always preferred to see my character like in Mario, Sonic games so that's a win in my pocket.

Oh and another Wii game from E3 is Red Steel 2. I can't wait for all these games but I might not get Metroid other M.

When I heard the creators of Ninja Gaiden were making this game I was hoping it would be a 2-D game. I loved NES Ninja Gaiden games and 2-D metroid games as well. Seeing them mixed together would be a dream come true, but a 3-D game is good too.
