Eduardo toasting WiiWare

Eduardo toasting WiiWare

Indie development studio Semnat has given out a press release, revealing their new game for WiiWare. Eduardo the Samurai Toaster is described as a frantic side-scroller where you run and gun your way through the levels.

Graphically it draws from a number of sources, done by hand then scanned in from styles such as pen, ink, acrylic paint and charcoal. In-game enemies are mainly food based - pastries, carrots, mangos and more.

More screens are up on the game's page.

This has one word written all over it, FAIL.

Why do indie developers feel like they have to hand draw everything? I think that if a game is good, it wouldn't matter if everything was made by hand or on photoshop, or anything else. I feel like developers think it will give their games more respect and praise even if the game itself is lacking.

Replying from my Wii! I say, what a weird game this is.

Wiiware is an amazing concept; it's the ultimate haven for those too damn lazy to make a full blown game. This would be such an example.

They should make less minigame-based games and more exciting adventure games.
