3rd party giants EA are currently in talks about bringing Fight Night, the popular boxing series onto the Wii.
Michael Blank, one of the game producers commented: "We're contemplating and we definitely feel there are some exciting things we can do with the Fight Night franchise and the Wii. When you play Wii Boxing it is a very simple experience and I think that is what they designed it to be. With Fight Night we have an amazing simulation of Boxing and so we need to take those Wii controls and tailor it to what the Fight Night consumer might want to experience".
All games in the Fight Night series have been well received, a Wii entry could potentially be a knockout. Don't look at me like that.

Wii's World is not officially affiliated with Nintendo! (but they wish we were).

Wouldn't that be COMMONSENSE? I mean it's 100 times more suited to Wii than the obsolete consoles and the effects would look nice at 480p. The hd sweat looks so FAKE.

Fight Night for Wii, with the wiimote motions. Okay!
Master Foot said:
Someone should put on some boxing gloves and give the people at EA a couple. Fight night would be SO MUCH better on Wii, that I doubt that anyone will disagree with that. Even Virtua Tennis could use the Wii touch. OH, I forgot, "next generation" games are about HD graphics, silly me.

I want to play!

Fight night Wii a-ok!

I'd rather have 480p than a super realistic sweaty man with no shirt on my tv.

The only problem I can see is that there might be unresponsive controls.

If the control's going to be good, unlike Wii Sport's boxing, I'd buy that. Also, that picture is win!

Wii Sports boxing occasionally makes me break a sweat- I can't imagine what "Fight Night" would do with all the jumping around and swinging. This should be fun. Does anyone else do a victory dance with their Mii after a good knockdown?
PHiRE said:
Not so much a victory dance, as just holding his hands aloft. In a style befitting a champion of course.

@TDS Yes, I do. First I wipe the sweat off my virtual brow, then strike a stunning John Travolta pose and finally throw some quick punches and end with an uppercut. It's quite poetic really.
Master Foot said:
The controls in Wii boxing is rudimentary by Wii standards. If the people at EA put their minds to it, then they can make the best boxing simulator to date.
Gonzo said:
Those graphics are good. No one can complain about that. The controls better be good.

Damn the characters on that game were so awesome! I hope they're even half as good on this one.

They have to do a fight night on Wii. I don't even like boxing games, but I could guarantee if they made one on Wii it would be bought. What the hell is EA thinking?

I like the picture. Yes, sony. You're winning. You just took, let's see... 1, 2, 3. No, 17 blows to the face in one day. How many punches did you give? My calculator says ERROR.
