FujiFilm Wii Channel

Nintendo has partnered up with photography company FujiFilm to launch a new Wii channel over in Japan.

The new channel allows users to load in photos via SD card and purchase prints (30 yen) or whole albums (1,575 yen). Interestingly, "Mii business cards" are also available.

According to reports, it's likely a similar channel will be launched in the US and Europe further down the line.

How does it work?

This seems a little weird, but I'd probably still try it. Still Nintendo should be working on a firmware update for the Wii so it uses the sd card as a "hard drive". Either that or come out with a Nintendo branded external hard drive.

Mii themed business cards will only be cool in certain situations.

Yes digital cameras have external hard drives... oh no they don't, they have sd cards just like Wii. Hard drives are obsolete, flash is the future. Move with the times. Why would you need a hard drive to produce photos. I've never seen a hard drive print machine at a camera store, every single one uses sd cards direct from the camera. This Wii channel offers the same thing from your home.
