It's not because GCN is such a popular system, it's because Xbox 360 is such a poor system. I would like to see how many ps2s are being sold. The Gamecube is an awesome system, but I'm skeptical of its Japanese popularity.

That's probably because there are very few games intended to appeal to Japanese gamers. Unlike Nintendo and Sony, Microsoft originates from America, not Japan. They simply do not know how to make games that Japanese people like. They're too busy making Gears of War and Halo 3.

Yes Microsoft's still very unexperienced in the gaming industry and is based in America. They don't make games that the Japanese like.

Yeah, the 360 has a really similar controller to the normal Xbox. Now, would you want a controller that's exactly the same or something like the wii-mote that you can stick an analog controller onto?

Interesting relation, but nonetheless true. Micro and Sony aren't all games, so naturally they don't do so good in that department. They just upgrade what they have. The Xbox live was the last edge that Micro may of had, but now the only thing that keeps them going is probably a few good games like Halo. The Wii will dominate the gaming system universe, and it's starting in japan.

It's no suprise that Nintendo outsold Microsoft, the xbox 360 is $400. At that price I'd buy a gamecube if I had the choice between the both of them.

Wow this is hard to believe but I am cheering my head off. Nintendo will have its MAJOR REVENGE when the Wii is released. I bet SONY and MICROSOFT are shaking in their boots right now. The Wii is going to outsell both of them combined.

I love Nintendo and have had every console since I was 3, starting with the NES. But how can you say that xbox 360 is an awful system? When clearly it technically isn't. As you're all so anti-microsoft I really doubt any of you have even played it. Since its release it has more good games than Gamecube has released in two years. The Gamecube had so much potental but after nearly 5 years I feel very shortchanged. We haven't got close to the quality of games on the N64 and Rare was also a big loss. I bought the Gamecube for a Perfect Dark sequel! And a Conkers bfd sequel! But I got Starfox Adventures instead which was lame. Oh and also that lame Zelda game. We've had to wait years for a proper Zelda game. And that is the only reason I'm buying the Wii. And as much as I love Nintendo, face facts, they will get no revenge. It will be same old story. Great console with so much potential but no backing. Oh and last thing. The gamecube controller is the most perfect controller ever. It will never be beaten.

Lloyd, I'm not anti-microsoft. I HAVE played it and frankly, the graphics aren't all they're cracked up to be. I just think that if they wanted to sell their systems, they should've TESTED some before they released it. They break down like every 5 minutes. I do agree with you though, the gamecube could have a lot of awesome games but it doesn't. The original XBOX was definitely a piece of work though. Better than the 360 will ever be. As I said before, I am not anti-microsoft. I am ANTI-SONY! Down with Sony! Up with Nintendo!

Lloyd, don't even go there "We've had to wait years for a proper Zelda game", that's bull. Wind Waker was an awesome game and everyone that has ever played it knows that. This statement just proves you are the fool of the court, since if YOU ever played Wind Waker, you would see what it's really like. Also Rare sucks now, I'm glad that Gamecube got the only good game they have put out in this gen. It's sad you're backing a claim with your opinion of two games and one now-crappy developer. To comment on the article, not so yay for Nintendo but more of a haha at Microsoft, they just don't get what games are really about.

No offense Senpai, but the Xbox 360 doesn't TOTALLY suck. I don't really like some of the games but it's going to get better. And not everyone likes Wind Waker. I thought it was pathetic compared to the 2 for 64 and nothing compared to thine god "Link to the Past". This is Japan, no one likes Xbox.

I played X-Box and 360, they suck. I'm Anti-Microsoft and Anti-Sony, but I can still put in some good words. Microsoft does have some really awesome games, okay, one, Halo. Sony has some interesting ones, but not what I'd call good. I think they only live because of the Kingdom Hearts series, which was completely messed up thanks to the awful Kingdom Hearts 2. Wii has it made.

How pathetic. I got bored of my cousin's Xbox 360 in a matter of days; maybe a week. The gamecube owns because of the Super Smash Bros Melee game and the other awesome titles being sold for only about 75 bucks. Whereas, the 360 is being sold for too much for my pocket.

Xbox acts more like a computer than a console even my friends who own an xbox and a 360 say that its built to satisfy those who don't want a computer for gaming its just a figurehead and just a copy of the best in the world the computer.

Xbox360 is expensive and has a bunch of crappy FPS games and a mediocre RPG (Oblivion). The GC on the other hand is cheap and has fun, innovative games.
