Greenpeace hassling console makers
Recently Greenpeace slammed Nintendo, awarding a zero score in the "Guide to Greener Electronics". Seemingly not satisfied with that, Greenpeace has now come up with a video targeting all three console makers, including Sony who fared pretty well in the tests.
Well, at least it was entertaining.

Why don't they go after car makers for building cars with combustion engines? Give me a break GreenPeace. First Jack Thompson, now this.
YA REALLY
I mean come on, and it's so true about cars. Instead of trying to shut down the company, why not figure out a way to recycle them?
The Yoshi Guy
They probably did go after car makers. They just don't post stuff like that here since it's not game-related.

That Mario is an insult to Nintendo, greenpeace you're sony noobs. Go and help the world with "global warming" instead of insulting a plumber with this movie.
DragonFoxCoon
Who in their right or wrong mind would throw away a game console? I've never thrown one away, not even my old NES. Don't know what happened to it, but I never tossed it. Even when the Wii becomes "obsolete", I'm keeping it.
Link Q
He. It was funny but they are right, companies should do something about that.
Jared
I'm-a-gonna win.

All carmakers (except for maybe Tesla) use combustion engines. That would be a lot of people to rail on. There are way more car dealers in the world than you think.
sidkid004
(sheds a tiny tear) why must environmentalists be such lame douche bags!? Why!?
BrothaZ
Screw them.
jskrdude
GreenPeace has a point though. But they should never, ever, *ever* make an animated video like that again. It made my eyes and ears bleed.
Diddy Kong Lover
Ouch, but what about computers, cars, and other products that kill the environment? Go attack something else.
hbh
As said in the last Greenpeace update: Who in their right mind would throw away a Wii? You make Mario look bad.
Quartz
Call me evil, but Master Chief amused me. So did the poor graphics in this video, of course. I couldn't even tell that was the guy from God of War until it was basically said out loud. And, they realize that nobody cares, right? There are tons of bigger threats. Besides, it's not like we're as bad about polluting as we used to be. Find some pictures of some old Industrial Age cities. Holy crap.
Aeth
Wow, these Greenpeace people are really pathetic aren't they? So let me get this straight, they want us to give up all things which could be "dangerous to the environment" and practically live like cavemen again (I did some research and they are against almost everything). Well I got news for them. People in general are bad for the environment! So all in all the battle they're "fighting" is a lost cause. Now I want to protect the environment as well, but these people have gone to an extreme which goes from the "okay" zone to the "nutcase" zone.
asparaWIIgus
Oh my god stupidest video ever, but ever so funny.
SeanTaylor4ever
Mario crapping out a brown mushroom is classic. Who knew that Wii is being the cause of global warming and eventually the end of the world.
Nova
I'm surprised they showed so many ps3s in that pile. There should have been a whole lot less (not selling well *snicker*).
Simple
I like it.
smashbro
Who is going to throw away 60 million 360s, wiis, and ps3? They are exaggerating. Almost no one throws away their consoles.
Nintendoof
Kaaayy.
dave
Greenpeace never mentioned how the Wii consumes less than a tenth of the power that the other home consoles do.
Juan
This just shows what mario is capable of.
Scooby Jew
Everybody's already said everything I was going to point out, so I'll say this: Who cares what Greenpeace has to say? Nobody's ever paid attention to tree huggers (not since the 70's, at least).
Man with cap
Notice when master chief is holding the Xbox, it's already red lighting.
Jarin
And people say the Wii has bad graphics, this is just pathetic.
Wiimaster
Greenpeace please do the following: 1) Ask yourself why you made this video. 2) Kick yourself in the pants. 3) Repeat process.
Senpai
Are you guys happy now? Always screaming about saving the environment, and global warming, and earth-death! As for the throwing away, they are saying toxins come from production, running, AND disposal, so yea, not just throwing them away. Aeth is right, greenpeace is going insane, and most of us are following. As a note to greenpeace: I have a Wii, PS3 AND xbox360, PLUS two firebirds, a gto, and a HUMMER, and so far, the weather here has been typical.
Jinchuuriki 88
So are they pointing out that Wii is releasing toxic chemicals the most? And do they think people throw away their consoles? 60 million copies? I don't think many people throw away their consoles. This video is trash.
GreenP
Awesome. If they can make greener consoles, why the hell not?
hbh
Is it just me, or does that green console at the end look suspiciously like a Wii?
Master Foot
Let's solve the problem by going back to board games made of biodegradable recycled paper and wood.
Smash Champion
And what do they expect Nintendo to do? Go door to door every week asking people "Are you done using your Wii yet?". And even if they did have a "plan", how many people would really recycle their Wiis? Not me.
Nickhead
Leave Nintendo alone greenpeace.
Icemelter
Like they actually expect us to give a damn. You know, I've never actually heard of anyone being poisoned by toxins in games consoles.
doglover
Why did they say Wii instead of we? Maybe they have a Wii and then go saying it's bad for the environment just to be annoying. Anyway making the video uses electricity and some of that is probably made from burning coal, so why would they make the video if they're so obsessed with the environment? Maybe the Green Peace people are teamed up with Nintendo and are sneaking in advertisement for a more environmentally friendly Wii, possibly called Wii 2, or Wii FTE.
