Muse? Weezer? Beastie Boys?! Oh, what! Try Children of Bodom, Wintersun, Kalmah, Ensiferum, Eternal Tears of Sorrow, Sonata Arctica, Iron Maiden, bands like that. Good bands that actually challenge guitar players. Oh wait, I forgot, you can't say "challenge" in modern games. It makes the losers feel sorry for themselves, look inward, and fix their lives. Modern society can't have that. They'd rather have them "express" themselves in their own pathetic ways. In short: I think those bands are horrible and games should be more challenging, that's what gives them a longer lifespan and that's also what makes games great.

I agree Scooby, although I might not agree with every band you listed. I was very disappointed in GH2's list of songs, very minimal guitar oriented bands. I'm hoping for another killer Megadeth song (seeing as GH2 had Hanger 18 maybe Holy Wars?) and a few more hard rock/metal songs like the original GH.

Scooby, to be honest I think Muse is a really good band. Some of their songs are easy, yes. But they're pretty much all catchy (use whammy) and great songs. AC/DC please.

I love Metal. I hope GH3 is chock full of it. I also lol'd at Tenacious D's song "The Metal" being the chosen song. How ironic. Also ironic: The lack of real Metal bands being announced. And Splintercell4ever, this game isn't exactly being developed with Nintendo in mind. While it will be released on Wii, their first market is still Sony. They are just porting it onto Wii as well.

Dj hero?! Please that is the most pathetic thing I have ever heard of. Look guys, gh2 had like 100+ songs, this is just an original touch of what may be on here. Be looking for some zeppelin. Also I doubt that they would put stuff like Children of Bodom because of their evil lyrics. It would be cool to have some Michael Angelo Batio songs on here. Nitro I mean. Or psyopus. If you haven't heard of psyopus, look them up. And Genghis tron. Not my favorite bands but friggin awesome.

That's an.. what's the word.. INTERESTING list. Paint it Black is one of the greatest songs ever. Rock and Roll all nite, School's out, slowride and barracuda are classics. The Metal is ok (although there are much better D songs to choose). The rest are "play it once" songs just to unlock the next set.

People people, this isn't the full list. The last two games, they said in the original statement maybe 2 good songs and the rest were crappy. But when the full list came out they had all the good stuff, this is the crap list, more is on the way. Metallica ain't happening, lars will see to that.

Some human abstract, more all that remains, avenged sevenfold, as I lay dying, at the gates. Maybe some atreyu, children of bodom, definitely some dragonforce (those guys are fast as hell, it would make a good finale song), cradle of filth, darkest hour, some more dethklok (best metal band out right now), more lamb of god. Maybe some disturbed, please let there be metallica, parkway drive, vanna, I killed the prom queen, and to end it all PLEASE put escape the fate. That would be the best guitar hero ever. Ok to everyone complaining about the list, they have to please everyone (the oldie lovers, metalheads, and everyone else) while at the same time keeping the rating down. Many system of a down songs have lyrics that people wouldn't let their kids listen to and I bet that goes the same for a lot of bands that you listed. Just keep that in mind while you suggest songs.

Also, is it me or do they pinch a LOT of GTA songs (not that this is bad, as they are usually good): GH- You Got Another Thing Coming, Bark At The Moon. GHII- Mother, Strutter, Them Bones, Killing In The Name Of, Madhouse, Free Bird. GHIII- Slow Ride, Cult Of Personality, Barracuda.

Since the few people who own the rights to the led zeppelin songs are very tight on selling them, there is virtually zero (0) percent chance that there will be Stairway, or any LZ song on GH3. Maybe at best a 5%. Besides, I personally like over the hills since it's not as horrendously long and painful to listen to. If you want to request songs, go check out Rockband. They're taking requests of what songs to put on, provided they can get the license. And for the record, I think that muse song is TIGHT (MV is the bomb).

This track sucks. Where's the metal? They did okay in GH2 with All that Remains, Shadows Fall, and Lamb of God. They need to get also some more recently made songs rather than old songs.

I like most of the songs right now, except why Weezer? Why? Nobody likes them. GH3 should get some SOAD (Know, Radio/Video, Vicinity of Obscenity?), MM, Floyd, Zepplin (Stairway to Heaven) and why not some foreign bands? Dimmu Borgier or Dir en grey would be pretty nice. OBSCURE/Saku, anyone?

Personally, I don't think bands like COB and Dimmu Borgier belong on a game like this. They don't have the right sound. Guitarists/bands who have the right sound to be on this game are people like Satriani, Clapton, ZZ Top, Floyd/Gilmour (although I don't foresee him ever being on this game), Eric Johnson, Jeff Beck, Guns 'n' Roses, AC/DC, Metallica (again, never going to happen), Zeppelin, Ozzy. Pantera was good on the first one, Zakk Wylde, Deep Purple, Dream Theater/Petrucci, Megadeth has been good on both of the previous games, The Stones, music where you can really appreciate the guitar work.

They're doing ok, great choice of bands with Muse and Smashing Pumpkins, but not really their best songs. Everyone has different tastes so hopefully the downloadable tracks will be varied. Personally I think they concentrate too much on "classics", most of us buying this game aren't 40 years old. Put 90's onward bands on there. Placebo, Radiohead, Cold, KoRn, Marilyn Manson, Nirvana, Bush, REM, Slayer, Arctic Monkeys.

Children of Bodom, Paul Gilbert, Dead Kennedys, Dragon Force, Nine Inch Nails is something I'd like to see. Closer by NIN would be sweet considering you can technically play all the keyboard parts on guitar, and they do it on occasion. I'd like more wild songs on GH3. I hope they put some new bands nobody has heard of before on there, at least in a section like "unlabeled" or something, give the underdogs something.
