GH3 replacement disc website
Publishers Activision have put up a website allowing you to pre-register for a new Guitar Hero 3 disc.
If you were disappointed with your game outputting sound in mono, all you have to do is fill out the form and Rhy-Ming Poon will take care of you.
Note that when the time comes you will be expected to send them your original disc (they provide an envelope), so unfortunately this is not a way to get a free game.

I've tried the website but it doesn't work for UK customers, does anyone know how we UK customers get a replacement? Please help.

Excuse me, website? Surely the publisher should send replacements to retailers and all faulty discs can be simply exchanged. This is a 3rd party's way of making it a difficult, long-winded process of being able to exchange.

I'm really surprised at Activision pressing mono discs initially. Future publishers better not try a fast one like that ever again. They really must think that Wii owners don't want the best in new-fangled technology. Wii owners don't care about graphics, but they damn well care about sound! Activision was about to get a beat down.

Mono is when one sound comes out of your speakers. Stereo is a bunch of sounds that come out different times.

I was going to get the new disc, but how do you know that this isn't a huge scam to steal your disc. You need to send yours in before you get the new one.

To be honest, I'd rather have downloadable content. When is Nintendo going to please it's customers with this.

Ye I was kind of hoping for downloadable content. And why did they put downloadable content just for the xbox 360 and ps3. Wii owners have feelings as well you know.

If I buy GH3 for Wii how will I know if I have a mono or stereo disc? Will it say so on it? I was going to purchase this today, but I don't want to end up having to mail my brand new disc back and wait for my new one! Is it right to assume that all copies currently being sold are stereo?

The new disc should have a star down on the bottom where the Activision name is.
