Ice Climbers back in Brawl
Well, this is kind of a revelation. A lot of people thought they were out, but the Ice Climbers are back in Super Smash Bros Brawl!
The Ice Climbers debuted on the NES in 1985. They come from an icy region and are dressed like Eskimos. The blue one is named Popo, while the pink one is Nana. Equipped with chunky mallets and ice attacks they're ready to rock your world.
I feel overdressed.

I didn't see this coming. I have mixed feelings about this. This proves that the "confirmation" of ridley, celda link and bowser jr was false.
About time they revealed another veteran, this update was pretty good.

This update tells people to shut up about what they hear now doesn't it! The big N will tell us all we need to know when the time is right. So don't start screaming what you THINK you know. Me on the other hand, I'm just happily wanting for my favorite game to come out no matter who or what's in it.
This is a very awesome update. Ice climbers are one of my favorites.

It looks like the Ice Climbers are staying. I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing. But either way, they're back.
Hurray for Ice Climbers. This is a great update because to me, this is basically saying that they are bringing ALL the old characters back. I always thought they would and never had much doubt, but with lots of other people questioning the return of some characters, it's hard to not consider it a little. But, hopefully what this is saying is that everyone is back for Brawl. Woohoo.

Wow. This totally surprised me. The rumor said they'd be out. Hope they put game and watch. And they GOT to put Luigi.
I never knew they'd be back. But I wished they looked better. Say with anime stylings instead of those Kirby styled eyes.
The fleece rendering looks cool. I'm sure that they are even more annoying in Brawl.
Glad they kept Ice climbers and I know the others in melee are going to be back as well but that does not mean they stop putting in new characters. Keep the old ones in and add the new characters in as well such as Sonic and Ridley. The more characters the merrier.
Oh my god. Did not see this coming. At first I thought that it was just plain stupid that they're back in, but the more I think about it, the more I realize that Brawl just wouldn't be the same without them. Give it up for the Ice Climbers.
It's great to see the Ice Climbers, especially after the horrible updates this week. This was completely random. But this helps me feel better about the only character I care about, I want to see Sheik back and I want to see her cool new design.
I wasn't expecting the Ice Climbers to return. I'm pretty good as them so that rocks.
The ice climbers were the most unique char I've played. I ALMOST beat event 51 in SSBM with them, by using a "nana sacrifice" I was able to have essentially have 6 lives instead of 3.
Wow. I thought Nintendo was replacing them. This is starting to make me think that maybe they are bringing back everyone (except those who are replaced but from the same game).
I'm so glad that they brought back ice climbers. They got sweet moves and there is two of them. Now I'm thinking that they may even bring back young link which would be really cool.
Hilarious captions. Ice climbers were never a big character(s?) for me, but they were always fun, and kicked butt if you knew how to use them. One of my favorite matches was four ice climbers. 8-man-brawl! And now we can do it again.

Ganna man that doesn't mean ridley, ww link, and bowser jr. That was a rumor and those character (maybe not ww link) are most likely to bee in brawl. But the part about young link and game and watch may be true. Well for sure young link but who know about game and watch.

You are right brawl rocks luigi wasn't much of a clone in melee and he will probably let him use the thunder hand from mario and luigi in this game making him much different from mario.

They're not going to put luigi as an update, because he's a secret unlockable character. It would be dumb if the webpage showed all the unlockable characters before the game even comes out. They only tell you the stuff that happen at the begining of the game.

The first returning character post that actually was news. Most people thought they wouldn't return, I have to admit I saw it as 50/50.
I never really played as the Ice climbers but I enjoy the sounds of them jumping! And everyone who thinks Luigi's just a clone in Super Smash Bros., well he's kind of always been a clone of Mario with a few differences hasn't he?

Am I the only person that thinks that the Ice Climbers are one of the lamest characters in Melee? I hate them.
They can't get rid of luigi. The game is called super smash brothers! The Brothers are mario and luigi. If they got rid of luigi then it would just be super smash only childs lol.
I KNEW those rumors were wrong. Yes, they most certainly GOT to put Luigi in. In fact, anyone who thinks Luigi is out. Why, they must not know much about the Mario series at all. Also, if Luigi DOES return (which he will), then I'm hoping to see his THUNDERHAND. 'Cause it rocked.

I don't see why people hate these little guys so much. Sakurai just wanted variety in SSBM by including old school characters like these two. For those Ice Climber haters, they're in the game, move on. Nobody's forcing you to play as them.
I was glad to see The Ice Climbers back in. With the rumor I didn't think they'd make it in. Out of all the rumors I'm glad theirs wasn't true, I've always liked The Ice Climbers.

For the final smash they should shoot a huge ice blizzard and both do the attack so if nana's dead she comes back to life.
Yoshi lee that kind of reminds me of sonic heroes and their little special attack when if knuckles or tails is dead they come back.
Aw, darnit, Ice Climbers annoyed the hell out of me in Melee. Although this may mean that there's a chance for Young Link to return too. I mean, Young Link HAS to return. He's awesome. Brawl wouldn't be as good as melee without the milk-drinking.
I think that they won't put the secret players back in brawl that come from melee.

Young link was just a crappy clone like pichu, I doubt he'll come back. The ice climbers and mr game & watch were pretty good and the only reason a few people hated them was because they were too lazy to practice with them. Anyone who misses young link, just use link.

G&W better be in brawl, he is a better character than people give him credit for.
Link and Young Link may have the same moves, but Link is nowhere near superior to Young Link. Young Link has a better wave dash, better arrows (if you know how to use them), combo generating up B attack and he's quicker. As for the Ice Climbers returning, hurray! Because they were my second best character(s).
Nana automatically follows along, you control Popo. Final Smash hurts.
I'm really good with the Ice Climbers. If they stay in the next Smash Bros. game I have only one request, give them climbing abilities (it only makes sense).
