Wii returned to the top of its game for the week of November 26th - December 2nd in Japan, outselling the PS3 at a 2:1 ratio.
The release of Wii Fit might have a hand in this, which has been a roaring success, managing to practically sell out within two days.

Wii's World is not officially affiliated with Nintendo! (but they wish we were).

The PSP is very close though. Hah 360 only has 6600.

Only a bit over a hundred separate the PSP from the Wii. Why do people like it? Most of the games suck as far as I know, and the battery won't last long enough to play most of the good movies out there. Lord of the Rings fans be damned.

Hmm. What happened to that "great" boost the PS3 had? Last time I checked, 74000 > 37000.

Who's buying PSPs over there? I mean seriously. The games don't sell and it's a pile of dudu compared to DS. Just bizarre. PSP is flopping everywhere else in the world.

I think the reason the PSP is selling so well is because of the Monster Hunter games. In the US once the game hit the PSP and lost online play most people stopped caring but in Japan it turned into a big hit. Over in Japan they come from all over to play the game with their friends. On an interesting note, Internet gaming does not seem to be that popular in Japan. And the systems that support online gaming mostly are the ones that are doing the worst. Whereas Nintendo still has most of its games made for people to gather around a single TV and play.
