The hardware sales in Japan for the week of July 2nd - 8th are in, thanks to Media Create.

So much for the console "war".

This is the most one-sided "war" that I have ever seen.

$ony's creeping up a tad. But with no MGS4 and no Killzone 2 until 2008, the Wii is going to eat Sony's lunch and wipe it's mouth with a copy of Resistance.

It's a cold war, as Nintendo grows the commie sonyites and fascist bill gaterons live in gaming poverty. Kind of like north korea but in a videogaming logic lol.

What I don't understand is the ratios. The numbers don't add up. The site I usually check the sales numbers on has the ps3 at about half of the wii's sales. Wii seems to have been completely crushing pos3 in your charts.

Yeah what a war!

PS3 is a major failure.

Wow I thought this couldn't even get more biased. Oh wait!

Yea, no need for a war when Nintendo has already won it.

Another 10,000 whatever-these-are's and the DS Lite will have doubled the sales of the Wii. The Japanese sure love their handheld peripherals, don't they? Even the PSP nearly tripled the PS3's sales.

Domination for Nintendo hooray.

Only one thing can save Xbox 360 from trailing in last place in Japan: More RPGs. I think it's just so pitiful to be losing to those next-gen George Foreman grills.

Same again.

Wow. I have a Xbox360, but I'm looking for a Wii and can't find it anywhere in stores. I am so glad that Nintendo has regained its throne, since N64 and GameCube lost to Sony and Microsoft. I have always been a fan! I'm totally not a fan of Microsoft, but bought the 360 anyways. And Sony, a name I used to trust, and once thought they're #1 in electronics, but after much money invested in their products like digital cameras, CD players, they all had glitches and failed me within 6 months. So I am very happy for Nintendo's success this generation, and hope for many more to come.

This "War" will probobly get heated in Late 2007/2008 as Nintendo and Sony bring out the big guns. Nintendo brings out Super Mario Galaxy, Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Wii Fit, Wii Music, De Blob, Disaster: Day of Crisis, and Mario Kart Wii, while the PS3 brings out Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Midnight Club 4: Los Angeles, Assasin's Creed, Burnout: Paradise, Destroy All Humans!: Path of the Furons, Driver 5, and Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction. In other words each system has their own games to offer and the Console wars will be heated in to a full fledged "battle". So it's going to be HOT! And the XBox 360 is right in the middle. *Thinks to self* Wow that was long.
