Link crowned most popular Brawler
Well it's been a long running poll, but after more than 2440 votes, Link is clearly the most popular brawler out there. When approached for comment he was clearly delighted, uttering these immortal words:

An honorable mention must go to Sonic, who wasn't that far behind. Commiserations to the Ice Climbers and Diddy Kong, who were dead last.
Time for a new poll now, it asks one simple question - which WiiWare game are you most interested in? The options include some already released titles, and some which hopefully will be in future. It's not a comprehensive list by any means, but it's getting late.

Good for link but I think one thing that gave link an advantage in this poll was including link and toon link as one, not as separate brawlers. If they were separate link's percent would probably be smaller, but still higher than anyone else's.

The Ice Climbers are one of the best characters in the game! Ironically, Link sucks.

Link is the best brawler in all the Super Smash Bros. Games, heck even in Soul Calibur II and because of his coolness and great reflex moves which got the GameCube version so much hype and made Namco so much dough before them rejecting Nintendo for Sony. Link will always be here to stay for as long as Nintendo and Shigeru Miyamoto exist. If I had to choose a smash Brawler other than Link, my alternatives would be Marth or Pit, but Link beats all.

The only reason link doensn't talk is because he is secretly canaidian. He tries to hide that fact, but when you listen to him die, jump, and abuse epona enough, it sounds blaghtaingly clear. Why didn't Navi say anything at the awards ceremony?

What the hell happened to Diddy Kong? He was a medium-weight, very athletic character! How could you hate him? His final smash rocks too.

Why do you think link's Canadian? I say he's Irish, all his games involve fairies, he wears a ton of green, and when he grunts after he slashes his sword his voice seems to have a little Irish accent in it. And Keranu the ice climbers are good characters but so is link to me and other people. Everyone has their own tastes in characters so I don't think anyone's right when they say a character sucks.

@Wiipaw: Because nobody wants to hear Navi talk. There's no way that Link (nor Toon Link) is the most popular Brawler. Wasn't this poll released BEFORE Brawl was released in North America? Link & Toon Link may have been the most loved Brawlers, but they certainly are not the most popular. For a character to be popular among gamers, I'm pretty sure that entails that they are the most used as well.

Actually, I now agree with you, YoshLee. That's why there's no voice acting (besides grunts, cheers, and shadow princesses) in Zelda games. I would if I found out Zelda and the other hyilians was Irish. Actually, I think diffrent races/people have different accents. The Gorons: French (I'm serious), Zoras: British, Gerudo: Jamaican (They look more Jamaican than Mexican. Ganon isn't fully Gerudo blood, in my opinion), Sheikians: Not sure, probably Irish as well. What do you guys think?

Thanks for the info wiipaw. YES I knew link was Irish (I'm Irish!). And wow zoras are really british. But I can't see ganandorf or the Gerudos saying "hey I'm from Jamaica man".

The ice climbers might be polish, but they could be Chinese too because China's very mountainous. One of the vegetables they collect is Chinese cabbage (or something like that), and they're kind of short (not that all Chinese people are short).

Actually, they would not have the stereotypical Jamaican phrases, and they would be able to speak fluent English. You'd be surprised how different an accent sounds without the stereotypical phrases that unfortunately come along with them. Ponder that. USA, USA, U-S-A.
