Not bad, kind of a stretch that Nintendo won best publisher. Besides Super Mario Galaxy, they haven't released a whole lot of great games in a while.

Yea that's true, but they'll win it again next year with SSBB and Mario Kart. What surprises me is Microsoft beating EA, since they don't really make anything but minesweeper, just buy others to do it for them.

Damn good thing this game won and congratulations to Nintendo by all means. Developers are getting extremely lazy when it comes to games for the Nintendo Wii system and Super Mario Galaxy is probably the only well made, polished all rounder for the system so it's a sigh of a relief it won. Hopefully we'll see it win other awards? Fingers crossed.

Sounds like some Nintendo fanboys at first glance, until you notice that other 3 aren't Nintendo games. I'm surprised The Orange Box got over Halo 3 though; Probably because they didn't try the multiplayer. Or maybe it was because of Portal, that game is the whole reason I WANT The Orange Box. Good score though, nice.

I'm surprised to see Halo 3 up for overall best and not another title, like Mass Effect, Rock Band, Bioshock or Uncharted, just to name a few. I have to agree with their overall award going to Super Mario Galaxy. Well, can't wait to see the competition next year, what with No More Heroes, SSBB, Gears of War 2. Hmm, come to think of it, looks like we'll be going into a bit of a drought of quality games again for a while.

Yea Nintendo rocks. I honestly thought after brawl got delayed Nintendo would have a "black Christmas", but I guess galaxy was its replacement and I think that worked out well.

Between Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3, Super Paper Mario, and Twilight Princess (which I guess came out in 2006) I really don't have many beefs with Nintendo right now; they are treating their franchises right. Between The OB and Super Mario Galaxy is hard for me though.
