Mario Super Sluggers info
It's long been known that a Mario baseball game was in the works, well today at the Nintendo Media Summit some more details have slipped out.
The title has been confirmed as Mario Super Sluggers. As you'd expect, it will deliver a more in-depth baseball experience than that seen in Wii Sports, but with similar controls.
You throw pitches with a swoosh of the Wiimote, adding a twist for spin or using the A / B buttons for specials. A shaking motion is used to simulate running between bases.
Some of the characters featuring in-game have been revealed too:
- Wario
- Shyguy
- Hammer Bros
- Birdo
- Baby Luigi

I knew it was coming eventually. A sequel to Mario Superstar Baseball. Will it be better? Or just a run-off of the original?

Hopefully it won't use too much of Wii's Baseball, because it sucks. Too damn hard to hit the ball.

I can't see what you guys are talking about, the controls in Wii baseball are simple. Yes I don't want this to be a Wii baseball spin off but it wouldn't matter if there were a few similarities.

This game is going to be awesome. They are bringing back all the characters in the game. They also should bring back some stadiums. This game will be so better than cruddy Wii sports. They are putting in new characters like baby Peach, baby Daisy, baby DK, miis, Wiggler, Funky Kong and Tiny Kong.
