Voted for him (saw this elsewhere yesterday). I certainly hope he does better. 1) The writeup they gave him was lame. Bashing WiiFit, which is one of the big reasons he deserves to be on there (among many, of course)? LAME. (Of course, many of the writeups were weak or outright wrong, so I guess it's about par for course there). 2) What a lame list of people. About half of the ones I looked at were good contentions for the top 100- the other half? Not even a chance. Is the list that poor every year? Who even cares, anyway? I voted for M-san because I'm really delighted by my Wii (and excited about Mario Kart, which will be here soon), but honestly I could care less. /rant :D.

As Sakurai: [Laughs] Brawl is okay, a good buy, but it was overhyped. Miyamoto has had a hand in creating something that makes your wallet and body lose weight, not to mention the development of hundreds of other games. My most notable work is on Super Smash Bros. And Kirby. [laughs] I'm voting for Miyamoto, as is Iwata-san. Iwata: [laughs] Sakurai: [laughs].

I got to side with crimson fang on this one, sakurai is great but shigeru made Mario and the legend of zelda, Nintendo's two GREATEST game series ever made, if not the TWO greatest game series ever made counting xbox and PS3. If he never made the mario series, yoshi never would have been created. Heck it's a possibility the smash bros series would never have been created without him or these characters.

YoshiLee, it gets deeper than that. Without him, there would probably be no metal gear solid, sonic, tetris (at least on a game console), possibly the entire video game industry would cease to exist without his genious. And there would be a lot more fat people.

An even more excellent point Wiipaw. Sega basically created Sonic to have a game series that could compete with Mario. In a way Shigeru created Sonic.
