MotionPlus unfeasible to begin with

MotionPlus unfeasible to begin with

In an interview with the Telegraph newspaper, Shigsy rapped about why the MotionPlus addon couldn't be a part of Wii when it first launched.

"It was not technically feasible for the technology to be realized with such a compact size. The fact we are now being able to sell MotionPlus at this price, at this size, is the result of technological advancements in the field of micro electromechanical systems, which took place after the Wii launched".

Technology, there's no telling what it'll do next.

That seems about right, seeing as Nintendo didn't include this advanced tech in the wiimotes, I'm not surprised the technology wasn't there yet.

If these technological advancements are so great then why can't they start making wiimotes with these things already on them?

This is supposed to be obvious to those who maintains a minimum amount of common sense. I guess there aren't too many of those people nowadays.

I believe this. I always hear people complain about how the Wii didn't have this from the beginning, but when you think about it, the Wii was revolutionary at the time and now it's just improved.

Grey: but if they did that, it might screw up games and channels that don't support the hardware.

Pimp My Nintendo
Nintendo is promoting the Wii Motion pretty hard. I'm even seeing lots of commercials for it on TV in prime time slots. The smaller, the better.

J dude
I don't get it, what exactly does it do?

Mischief Shadow
To "J dude" I believe it essentially allows for the processing of other dimensions to be recognized by the Wii mote. Dimensions meaning up down left right that sort of thing.

Wii Cloud
To simplify what Mischief said, it makes the Wiimote easier and more cooperative to use, in the games and channels that'll support it.
