Ben Herman, President of SNK Playmore USA has reconfirmed that Neo Geo games will be playable on the Virtual Console, very likely as early as this summer.

You can expect to see titles from series like King of Fighters, Metal Slug and a load of others. They'll be released gradually just like games from other retro consoles and should be priced just above the SNES downloads.

I doubt snk would release metal slug via Virtual console since they just released metal slug anthology though (which I bought and love). I can finally retire my Neo Geo CD copies.

KOF (and all other fighters) are going to rule. The classic controller is perfectly designed for SNK fighters.

You know, this is why I love VC. I was born in 1994, so my first gaming system was a psx (broke 3 times) and I didn't really like it, but I loved my cousin's n64. Anyway, now thanks to vc I can play all the games of my pre-birth, and before Wii. I never heard of tg16 or neo geo and now I will be able to bask in the warmth of classic titles.

Stinky I'm 34, gamed since 1980 and the ps1 was the biggest joke in gaming alongside saturn for mii. I hadn't seen loading times since spectrum and commodore computers and the weak 3d on those 2 machines really got to mii. The control pads were crud also. As a life long gamer and believer in short loading times and sweet controllers I fast became a Nintendo fangirly and n64 was my dream machine. It wiped the floor in tech terms minus fmvs the ps1 and saturn and its analog stick was sweet genius. I haven't looked back since as far as I'm concerned the Wii is the most games console ever made. Everything about it, perfect balance. Plug, play and enjoy- that's what console gaming is. Sony fans with movie hype and long load times and buggy less polished games and dreadful controls just don't GET THE Nintendo difference. You made me smile as a modern day youngster, the fact you "GOT IT" when playing between ps1 and n64 instead of just following the crowd and being a sony fanboy. I salute you. And yes I too look forward to neo geo, the monster of 16-bit era gaming. PC Engine also.

PS1 isn't a problem for me (since I play em on PS2). Even though I'm only 14, I have a long history of playing video games. I'd tell you about it but I don't have the attention span to do it right now. If you ever want me to tell you, feel free to ask. And about Neo-Geo, I WANT SNK VS CAPCOM CHAOS SO BAD! You could play as Zero from Megaman Zero and the Mars people from Metal Slug.

I was born in 1991 and I've been gaming since 1999. I'm 16, so my first system was the N64 (which wore out), next came the Gamecube, and finally the Xbox 360. My next target is the Wii.

I've had a Wii since February, but I still haven't gotten the chance to get internet access for my Wii so I can go to the shopping channel. I have a question. Just recently, I got the plug in that's used for Wi-Fi Connection. I asked one of my friends, who is an employee if it could give access to places like Shopping Channel & News Channel, and he said yes. Is that true?
