Today Big N released more solid details on their next handheld, the Nintendo 3DS. It's set to release on March 27th for a recommended retail price of $249.99. The first launch machines will be available in colors known as "Cosmo Black" and "Aqua Blue".

  • SD Memory card slot, with a 2Gb card included.
  • Familiar controls to DS users.
  • Added analog circle pad.
  • Accelerometer and Gyroscope allow for motion sensing.
  • 3DS is packaged with a battery charging cradle.
  • User interface has a Home button which allows for suspending gameplay and reentering at any time.
  • Street Pass enhanced local wireless features.
  • 3 cameras - one is forward facing for self shots. The other two allow for 3D photography.
