Aww that sucks for people who wanted it in other colours. But I don't mind because I wanted my Wii in white from the start and my wii-mote in white too. It makes me feel like an original gamer if I have it in white.

Nah skins suck, I'll wait until someone starts selling colored reproduction cases (like clear) then I'll make my move, but for now the original gamer feeling will do just fine.

Are they serious!? Now I'm pissed beyond words! At least have the black Wii or different colored wiimotes from day one. I suspected that this would happen since they were aiming to produce 4 million by the end of the year. I guess a phazon blue Wii is out of the question.

It only says that Nintendo has no plans to RELEASE in other colors. They'll probably release the other colors come 2007 or maybe around Christmas time if we're lucky.

Ah well, it's not like color affects gameplay at all, so what difference does it make? I just want my Wii! I'll take any color they throw at me. Besides, I wanted the white in the beginning.

I'll get a black Wiimote. The console looks good in white to me and the Wiimote even better in black. But I reckon that Nintendo will do the DS thing. Sell white Wiis and then come out with new colours later in the year.

Black=dirty. That's why ps2/3 and xbox are black. Gamecube is only optionally black to fit in. White is clean and futuristic. Nintendo Wii is the innovator, always new. So basically, Nintendo has shed its dirty black skin and we now see a shiny white of goodness.

The green and red look cool. That would be cool if they came out with a blue console. But the wiimotes are like blue and 7 other different colors. I'm fine with white. I'll get normal white controllers too. Maybe later get different colors.

Well they might make new colored ones, who knows. I mean a silver ps2 slim is out now, that was never there in the beginning. Plus many skins are gonna be available on eBay, I can assure you that. Nintendo JUST HAS TO MAKE a retro skin to celebrate the virtual console feature.

For all you who think black Wii don't look good you're stupid, it looks so sleek and sexy and shiny. Matches my DS LITE and you can't see dirt and scratches etc as much on black. When it comes to consoles of any sort black is the way to go. Once you go black you'll never go back.

I'm pissed! I like all my things to kind of go together. I have a black DS Lite, laptop and ipod nano and I could've gotten all those in white to match Wii. But I'm pretty sure they'll make black. At least we're sure on the controllers.

Different colored Wiis would cause them some sales problems, because people would have preferences. Since they can't tell how many people will buy the Wiis and how many people prefer a certain color, they would be making extras and that would be a waste of money. I also think it puts less pressure on people, there being only one color. I mean, it's a $300 system, and if you wanted just the right color and you bought the wrong one, what are you going to do? Return it and get a different color. Obviously they have thought of all the negatives of having certain colors and just decided that no special colors would be in their best interests. Besides, if they produced some sort of skins later they would be much more cost-efficient, so you could buy many colors.

Think before you paint that Wii! Think: Now I'll just spray the SD slot. 20 minutes later, you pop in Twilight Princess, and BOOM! There's a little paint on the disc slot, which rubs onto your disc. It destroys the disc and the lazer disc reader. So you send the Wii to Nintendo HQ (in Washington State), and they bill you $100 when you get it back in 6 months. Now you go re-buy Twilight Princess, and that's $50. So you spent $150 because you decided to spraypaint your Wii (this goes 4 brush painting too). I sent this from my Wii, which WILL REMAIN WHITE! That about sums it up.

You all are ridiculous, it's just a color. The Wii is an original system with amazing interactive gameplay. At least Nintendo did something new and weren't like Microsoft and Sony and just re-release a product that they have already made, only it's an upgraded version. Color should not matter, who the hell cares if it doesn't match your room, or it just doesn't make you happy. Too bad, haha. Get over it and play your Wii. I Was thinking of purchasing a Wii this summer but I think I'm going to wait a year or so just in case they do decide to release it in other colors. I know Black & Red is a favorite but I think Silver & White looks quite superior. The only downside is if your white Wii gets scratched you're going to be able to see it. But it's cool, they're bound to release faceplates and how could white not match anything in your room? I think if the companies avoided releasing the photos of the prototype we wouldn't have these strong opinions in the first place.
