Killer7 remake not on the cards

Yesterday rumors were spreading about a Killer7. It all stemmed from a listing on Capcom Europe's website, but it turns out that it was an error.

""The interest this has generated on the internet is quite gratifying, but we're going to have to disappoint you this time. The innovative control system of the Wii would seem like a good match for the innovative gameplay of Killer 7 and we cannot completely rule out the idea of a Wii game at some point in the future. However we can confirm that there are no plans at the present time to make such a game and there is certainly not one in the pipeline that we're not telling you about".

Disappointing news since Killer7 is easily one of the best games the cube has to offer. I picked it up recently and it's become an unexpected favorite. Initially the whole thing seemed alien, even though the game is on rails it can be disorientating while getting used to the control scheme. After a short time though it became second nature. Its morbid style and dark humor means it's not for everyone, but I like that sort of thing. The anime storyline is a winner too.

Damn it I wish it was real. Just have to wait for no more heroes.

I never played that game, so I'm not sure if them not making a sequel is a good thing or not. It's probably not a good thing since (supposedly) a lot of people had anticipated it, but whatever. I'll still have SSBB to play in place of this game.

Never played Killer7, but I read all the mixed reviews so I don't know exactly how I feel about this. I'm sure some form of Killer 7 type Suda 51 work will come from Grasshopper to Wii in the near future.
