NPD March sales figures

The NPD figures for March have been released. Sadly the PS3 lost by a narrow margin... to the Gameboy Advance!

  2. Nintendo Wii: 259,000
  3. Xbox 360: 199,000
  4. Playstation Portable: 180,000
  5. Gameboy Advance: 148,000
  6. PlayStation 3: 130,000

Things don't look good for PS3. Halo 3 will own 2007 hands down. Even if FF XIII is released on PS3, it may come on 360 and who knows how that may impact 360 sales. Look out for the Wii Triple Threat!

How long has the GBA been out? 2, maybe even 3 years? Longer? I'm not entirely sure, but even if it was released the same day as the PS3 and selling more units than it, that's still pathetic. You can play GBA games on the DS and people are STILL buying, preferring those consoles over the PS3. You can play PS2 games on the PS3 and still people are buying more PS2s. Pathetic? Entirely. Sony FTL.

Oh geez. Sony really does have the next Saturn on their hands. That's actually almost sad. But they kind of deserve it since they put the nail in Sega's consoles' coffin.

Halo 3 will own, that's SO SAD a fps game on a OBSOLETE controller will own. Shows 360 fans like sony gimps just don't get it. All the videos and beta show it's just another halo 2 and again microsoft and bungy are hyping INNOVATION for things that have been done to death in shooters. Remember the hype about dual weapons in halo 2 when 50% of shooters out there already had it. Halo 2 is plagued with pop up bugs, long load times and to continue with the out of date controls is just lame. Bring on prime 3 and other true Wii shooters.
