Wii's World is not officially affiliated with Nintendo! (but they wish we were).

Yay! I'd like to see how the wireless Sensor bar works.

The sensor bar will be easy to make wireless. It doesn't actually communicate with the Wii at all, the wire is there just to power the sensor. The sensor provides two infrared beams which work in turn with the wii-mote and the screen. Actually, if you have the right kind, aiming two remotes a foot or more apart from each other at the remote from the TV will work just fine.

We really need a charging system for the Wii remotes. Good news.

Yeah then I could put it in a better position than mine is now. Wireless is cool.

Haha, justin, you've got to be kidding me. Tell ya what. Unplug your sensor bar, place two candles on both sides of your tv, turn the lights off, and turn your Wii on. It's magic. Just kidding. Inside the sensor bar is two tiny, invisible lights putting out wavelengths the wiimote can pick up. All the triangulation is done from the wiimote not the sensor bar. And if you mean power wise, a small li-on battery will work for at least a year without much voltage going to the lights. People have already made these. I think I saw the first one three days after launch. It's nothing new.

I heard that a company (not Nintendo) was working on a sensor bar that is about half the size of the standard one.

I need the Wiimote charger.

A wireless sensor bar would be nice. One less cord to deal with and a charger station would rock, you wouldn't have to buy rechargeable batteries. I might get that depending on the cost.
Grim said:
It's just a sensor bar with batteries instead of a power cable.
theDancingPenguin said:
Justin, the wireless sensor bar simply employs batteries. The sensor bar is only connected to the Wii console for power; it doesn't actually transmit any information whatsoever. Multiple experiments have been conducted addressing this, and it has been discovered that even certain birthday candles can be used instead of the sensor bar.

Wasn't Nintendo supposed to release their own charger station? That's what they get for using AA's.
wiifan said:
YES! The charger is coming. The wiimote goes through a lot of batteries from playing it so much.
wiiman said:
A charger would be nice and I don't need a wireless sensor bar unless it is 10 dollars and much cooler and easier to travel with.
I need a wii... ew said:
Wireless sensor bar. The wire on the Wii now is humongus!
Gonzo said:
That's hot. A wireless sensor bar. I doesn't matter though because I could use the regular sensor bar that came with my Wii. I have no problem with that one.

Wii remotes, CHARGE!
BrothaZ said:
It'd be cool if they plugged in to a DS also, but.

Weird, on nyko's website it has nothin to do with the Wii.
