Well it's Friday again, time for some European releases on the Virtual Console. Only 2 games this week, but what a two!
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - Originally released on the N64 in 1998 and touted by many as the best adventure game ever created. Masterminded by Shigeru Miyamoto and Eiji Aonuma, it defined the genre while receiving maximum review scores left, right and center.
Kid Icarus - The classic side-scrolling action adventure NES game from 1986.

Wii's World is not officially affiliated with Nintendo! (but they wish we were).

Oh my goodness! When will the states get ocarina of time? I'd rather get the Master Quest for GC than than download it, but I don't live in the States. I'm so underprivileged.

If you have been paying attention to my recent posts, you'll see that this is the VC game I've been waiting for. BUT I HAVE A US CONSOLE! Aaargh!
Wii Freak said:
I don't really like the Zelda games.
wii rox said:
Can we please have it in the states? I spent HOURS on this game back in '98-'99.

I spent a LOT of time playing Ocarina of Time on the Collector's Edition for GameCube and I gotta say: this was an awesome game. Anyone who hasn't played this (if there is any) has gotta download it and see what they're missing.

I just got the "phazing" glitch in Ocarina of Time to work, so I'm going to having a LOT of fun with that now. (Slowly pull up on the left side of the cartridge, while keeping pressure on the right. Link will disappear for a few seconds, giving you the ability to walk through anything. I got into Hyrule without defeating Gohma. There's tons of stuff to do with it). Too bad you can't do that with the Wii. OOT was the best game ever. I grew up on it.

What! They keep giving Europe all the good virtual console games. America is the #1 Wii consumer, not Europe.
Wiipaw said:
Haven't finished TP, but when I do, I hope OoT will be in the US.
Stinky12694 said:
Wii Freak, change your name and go in the same hole as Noah. I mean, zelda games defined gaming itself.
Koen van Beeck said:
Ahaha! Hell yes! In your face, America!
Gonzo said:
Yo, I'm gonna kill someone, what about the US.
Robert said:
Wii Freak, leave. Now. Who doesn't like Zelda? I mean really. He must be like one of the Elebits not to like Zelda.
Hey said:
That is exactly why Nintendo is upping their European service, Scooby Jew. Be nice, Koen! I think that although Wii Freak is really missing out on something great, it doesn't mean he/she is a horrible Wii fan. It just means Zelda isn't for him/her.
George said:
It comes out in the US on the 26th! I can't wait.
PHiRE said:
I read somewhere that Europe is potentially a bigger market than the US so that's probably why it's getting a fair share of good stuff.
LOZfan said:
We get oot on monday in the states. Yay!
Master Foot said:
Would this game run in 480p like the GCN version or does it run in the original 480i even if it's on VC?
Koen van Beeck said:
Yeah, I've read too that Europe is the biggest gaming market. I wouldn't be surprised with those Godzilla-prices. But why do we always get games last then?
Ian C. said:
Oh my god it is time *faints*.
Ian C. said:
Sorry about my last post, I'm not european, I thought it said OOT on VC *sigh* damn europe gets everything *scoffs*.
Gonzo said:
Don't worry, we're going to get it.
Wii Freak said:
Sorry if I pissed everyone off about not liking Zelda but now I do. Also what happened to Noah anyway?
stinky12694 said:
I'm sorry about being that way Wii Freak. Oh, and Noah crawled in a hole by wiilover's (who is not commenting any more) house.
WiiWii said:
Sweet I love Oot!
Gods Pker X said:
Why would I waste my Wii points on this, when I can just slab in the master quest disc and play the original OoT and Master Quest.
LOZfan said:
Yay! It comes out to the US today.
Elementrat said:
It's too bad that collectors Master Quest disc is SO hard to get hold of.
Wii Freak said:
Now only if Nintendo would put more N64 games.
