6 months. 6 FULL months since the Wii's launch and there's still 75,000 consoles being sold a week. Compare that to the PS3's 11,000 and have a good laugh. I sure did. Another thing puzzles me, however: I still have yet to discover how the DS Lite is selling so many units.

Why are people surprised about low sales for 360 in Japan? Japan has never been a market for xbox. Why would it start to be now?

I still don't get why the DS Lite -continues- to sell so well in Japan. Hello? Motion sensor controllers? What are you still buying those silly touch screen-doodads for?

DS has a lot going for it, good library of desirable games, quite cheap, and you can play it in bed.

My ex has stolen all 4 of my and my sons' DSs, cleared out my bank and ran off. She then made a report of violence, my son ran home (I don't want to live with that gambling thief). She has a fruit machine problem and did it secretly for 3/4 years. My son and myself are gutted, half my Wii games are missing, all my ds games and 2 silvers, a white and a black ds all gone. We have a house full of Nintendo she could play for free, but no she prefers to gamble her damn life away. My son has returned home very upset so we played the godfather on Wii all week and we shall see her in court.

Probably because of price. Here in America, it's only $130. A little more than half of the Wii, which is $250. And, they do have some good games!

Looks like everybody in Japan has a DS Lite by now. I cannot imagine how high demand will be when the DS' successor launches in a few years.

@Wiimaster: Sony never had "exclusive rights" to Final Fantasy XIII, and the only news in that area is that there is one FFXIII spinoff that has a subname that Squenix hasn't announced the platform of yet. The original game FFXIII is almost released in Japan, the spinoff title Versus XIII is almost released in Japan, the mobile phone game is almost released in Japan (never to be released here most likely). That's all we know, so don't start spreading baseless rumors. Right now they have a new Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles coming out for the Wii, and that's it. Japan's game console market is governed by games and popular franchises. Hence why the DS lite is outselling its stock all the time. My only complaint about Nintendo is this. They are the only company making any profit margin on their next-gen console. That's a BAD thing for a new system, and the profit margin is something like 80 dollars per unit. I doubt the now ancient PS2 even makes that much. This is bad for consumers mind you, because it could be at least 50 bucks cheaper.

I am worried of 360 failure and PS3 gettin' up. Wii will take down DS too but they MUST go together on top. You rule Nintendo, you rule.
