According to Gamepro magazine, some previously unheard of games are due for release this year:
Some of these are undoubtedly working titles, but encouraging to see nonetheless.

Wii's World is not officially affiliated with Nintendo! (but they wish we were).

Mario Kart Wii! We need some good multiplayer. After the initial launch titles, there seems to be a drought of quality software. We know good games are in development, but none are going to be released anytime soon. If this lackluster 3rd party support keeps up, Nintendo could have quite a problem. I've already exhausted the available single player games and now what I'm really looking forward to is multiplayer. Not just minigames, but full fledged multiplayer modes like Deathmatches or Races. I personally can't wait for the long awaited Kirby sequel. Kirby 64: The Chrystal Shards was awesome and I hope HAL labs can retain that side scrolling power-up infused flavor. I just recently got Kirby Squeak Squad, and while that's still fun, I can't stop thinking about how much better it would be if it were pseudo 3D like Kirby 64. I'm not entirely sure a jump to full 3D would be a good move for the Kirby franchise. I would be happy with a good old side scroller. Also, I was a big fan of Mario Kart Double Dash for the GC. I hope the Wii Mario Kart game can live up to its predecessor. Ideally, it will have an online matchmaking system. If Nintendo can do a good job of taking Mario Kart Wii online like the DS game, its Online strategy can have a new face. Before Mario Kart DS, the Online was a little shaky. Ninty proved it is completely capable of Online play and hopefully more upcoming games will be Online Enabled. Sorry for the long post, my school had a Snow Day today and I have a lot of time on my hands.

100 Bullets sounds bloody! Am I reading this correctly. Wii Shooting! I can see the news headlines again; "Wii teaches shooting". I'm lovin it!

I agree with you dude. I want a good Multiplayer also. Maybe, if Nintendo's smart, they'll link Mario Kart DS to Mario Kart Wii for online multiplayer using both games.

I hope all of these are True. Please Nintendo!

Mario Kart Wii maybe some tilt turn thing?

All I had to see was "Wii shooting" and "Mario Kart Wii" to be convinced that this would really rule if this doesn't turn out to be a false rumor.

This list looks AWESOME! I mean Pilot Wings on the Wii!?!? WOHOO! But if they have pilotwings, I do not see the need for Wii motor sports airplane. I also like Wii shooting, kirby, Mario Kart (that will be awesome). I'm still waiting for Starfox Wii.

I was already anticipating the digimon Wii game but the mario kart seems like an even better one to me! A kirby title would be needed, as kirby is one of Nintendo's leading franchises. Is that Lost game the lost on tv? It's my favorite show! And kill those bongos that DK owns! That was by far the worst game I had ever played. Wii motor sports airplane looks good though. I think games of other Nintendo franchises should appear, such as Earthbound and maybe even a Kid Icarus sequel for the Wii.

Where's Wii Music?! I really want that game. Mario Kart Wii looks sounds good, as well as HP and the order of the Phoenix. Swing the wiimote to shoot spells. Press A to dodge. B for First person. D-pad to change spell. 1 and 2 to use items. Flick nunchuck to jump/roll. Analog stick to move. C to open/pick up. Z to target. That would be a good control scheme.

I'm excited for the Lost game (if it has anything to do with the show) but I think the Wii really needs some RTS games. Something kind of like the Age of Empire games because those types of games would really work well with being able to point.

Wii Shooting will come with a Zapper attachment for the Wiimote! Well, Nintendo didn't say anything about the Zapper attachment shipping with it, but yeah, it seems to make sense. Oh, and the Zapper attachment IS real.
